This thread and others show an inherent dislike towards gay people, but that's fine. I've had the displeasure of living in the South before too, where the average person still yearns for the "good old days" of 50 years ago.

In defense of Mr. 59 (whom I have had my disagreements with)I never got one impression that he has a dislike for gays, the only issue is whether or not being gay in sports is newsworthy.

We have become friends here and shared debate on many things Yankees, but we most likely couldn't pick each other out of a lineup. But one thing is consistent. We post 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, under our names not just here, but also for those of us who post on the Reddit site. So there you have it, people who stand for what they type and own it. And in closing, one more shout out to Denny, who I really would like to respect, but can't when he allows these artificial names to inflate his numbers at the cost of quality and honesty. On the Reddit board it states that anyone slinging racial or inappropriate posting will not be allowed to post. If calling this board and several people on this board Klansman isn't grounds for banning then what is.So this non-existent competition between the 2 sites is a farce. Are there people who over the years have grown to have issues with some posters, sure. But get over it, it's a sports site dedicated to a team we all love. Otherwise, take your real name down to whatever government agency you choose and declare yourself a candidate for political office and effect change in the appropriate forum and not that of a sports site of the New York Yankees. And on a personal note, my favorite cousin is a lesbian and she is loved by all for who she is and not what she is.

That is my question... they call us klansman which violates their own code, yet they continue to post... and then they bring that crap here, and it flys here as well... but we are the hate mongers... right?....
