Obama was hands down the winner because of a couple things:

-tore him up for how his 5pt plan doesn't add up.
-Romney was a disaster when talking about women's rights. Binder full of women? WTF!?!?! really?
-the e-verify point was spot on, made Romney look hypocritical.
-Ended with the softball question hitting it over the fences with the 47% zinger.

I hope I don't turn on Faux News and all they can discuss about the debate is the funny faces that Obama was making like the scuttlebutt after the VP debate...

Errrrr......

Substance clearly goes to Obama. Just look at the fact checkers commentary.

i think romney came off super smarmy and stiff, and that smile is just creepy man and obama came off like a battered wife who is just starting to find her voice

He won, but nothing like the slaughter of the last debate. So in the big scope of things, its not going to move things that much.

townhall format. was expected.

Who changed their minds because of tonight's debate? My guess is there weren't many. I just saw Frank Luntz' focus group in NV, who mostly voted for Obama in 2008 but who are undecided now. They seem really swayed, but used all the language of those of us right of center, so I call bullshit on them really being "undecided".

Obama showed up, and for that reason, seemed to be so much better because his baseline was crap. Romney wasn't much different from Denver.

And as for Chad's excuse for the altitude, as someone who used to live 1/3 mile from the DU campus and now lives at least 300' higher than the campus currently (about two miles away), I respectfully disagree with him. First, he did fine in Denver in 2008. Second, a flight pressurizes the cabin at roughly 7,000-8,000 feet. Obama seems quite energetic on the campaign trail, and he takes several flights a day. He didn't prepare for the last debate because he doesn't respect either his opponent's ideas or his opponent personally.

Serious question: Why is it so important when/if Obama said it was an act of terror or an act of violence due to an internet video? 4 people died either way and it's not uncommon for investigations to take a couple weeks to get all the facts.

What seems more important is the idea that it could have been prevented (and the question was 'why wasn't it?'), as well as bringing those responsible to justice. Obama didn't talk about 'the before', only 'the after'. But Romney somehow came off looking worse than Obama.

First debate was a clear win for Romney

The VP debate I thought was a Biden win but I understood how Biden looked overly excited could be construed poorly and so the debate could be honestly scored more as a tie.

But this second Obama Romney debate was a clear drubbing of Romney. Those saying otherwise I believe are either off kilter or lying to themselves.

Because they KNEW what it was hours after the attack and lied to the American people that it was some fucking video for TWO WEEKS. In reality, they couldn't admit they fucked up big time because they didn't want American troops on the ground in Arab countries. As a result four Americans killed and American territory invaded in two countries on September 11th of all days. This scandal is huge. We didn't protect our own Foreign Service employees because of politics, and then they tried to sweep it under the rug and blame it on some idiot. It was shameful.

Don't watch Frank Luntz. You're better than that.

The dude has hand-picked people in those "focus groups". That guy has been a wolf in sheep's clothing for years. The last thing that guy is, is partisan.

Key words "...I believe..."

Did they say they KNEW of the attack before hand?

The American movie maker is damned lucky he wasn't targeted for assassination by the Obama administration.

Romney looked like a guy who thought he was losing the debate all night imo

You could see it at the very end, too. Much different look to him after debate #2 compared to debate #1.

The big difference was Obama knew who he was running against now (that and actually trying this time). Romney came out in debate #1 as a completely different candidate than the one who was in the primaries and it caught Obama off guard.

They certainly had a head's up, but did they know beforehand? I doubt it. The issue, however, is the coverup. It's no different in that sense than Watergate.

Good idea to play coy when getting called out on bullshit.

My opinion about this debate was that those who were predisposed to vote for either candidate had their biases buttressed this evening and the undecideds (and I can't imagine who those morons must be) would think it was largely a draw. Again, Obama only looked better because he seemed to give a shit this time.

I wish I knew an undecided voter so I could call and ask them directly.

There's quite a difference between confusion and coverup, just as there's quite a difference between making a poor judgement call on the credibility of a threat (which they get tons of), and knowing of an attack.

Why? When you can just have Frank Luntz gather them and sit them in his Ramblin' Rod-esque studio?

I agree. And the issue is they're pretending there was confusion, and there was none. For Christ's sake, State was watching the attack in real time. They knew there wasn't a protest due to that YouTube video, yet that's what they tried to sell. It was a coverup plain and simple.

Even Oscar Snodgrass knows that Chicago politicians are filthy organizers. Especially Muslim one's name Barack Osama!

I find it fascinating that people are now morons for being undecided, but picking your horse simply because he has an R or a D next to his title is intelligent... I think that's fucking idiotic. And I'm not undecided on the issues. The problem is I side with the candidates on different issues, so now it's just weighing those against each other. I don't have to vote tonight, so why the fuck do you care?
