Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great, join today!

We all have been losers for the past 8 years.

Get ready to win for a change.

Actually, get ready for change for a change. And real hope.

With Trump? I seriously want some of what you're smoking @Denny Crane. It's gotta be some of that medical grade government testing shit they give to lab animals...

Do you truly think Trump is gonna "revitalize our inner cities"?

I don't have a single shred of confidence that he will.

Here's some hope and change:

You hoped Mexico was going to pay for the 20+ Billion dollar wall but Trump changed his mind and wants congress to pay.

Trump asking Congress, not Mexico, to pay for border wall

President-elect Donald Trump's transition team has signaled to congressional Republican leaders that his preference is to fund the border wall through the appropriations process as soon as April, according to House Republican officials.

The move would break a key campaign promise when Trump repeatedly said he would force Mexico to pay for the construction of the wall along the border, though in October, Trump suggested for the first time that Mexico would reimburse the US for the cost of the wall.

Yeah, they'll reimburse us...

Doesn't that sound like a flowery way to say debt?

Yes, I think he's going to try to revitalize the inner cities.

If not, fuck him.

I hope Trump gives up on building the wall and figures out how he can reach out to immigrants.

As for making Mexico pay, I've already addressed how they could be made to pay for it (by taxing imports, for example).

Or by using illegal immigrants they catch! :-) or by using inmates from California/Arizona.

Like Reagan, Trump is able to go around the media and speak directly to the people.

At least those who care to listen instead of allowing the media to filter everything.

Buh bye Barry.

Oh my.

Opinion: The rest of the story: What Obama won’t tell you about his legacy
From the economy to race relations, the president failed to deliver on his promise of hope and change

The expansion that began in June 2009 has been the weakest since World War II, with real gross domestic product growth averaging 2.1%. At 7 1/2 years and counting, it is also among the longest on record. But it hasn’t packed much of a punch. Cumulative growth of 16.5% since the trough is well shy of the 38.4% increase during the 1982-1990 expansion and 42.6% from 1991-2001, according to the Wall Street Journal.

So bombs bad but putting troops on the ground again in Iraq good?

We should stick with the bombs.

President Chickenhawk.

We shouldn't have surrendered. There'd be no need to drop bombs at all.

Yes they did asshat! (Calling Trump that not you).

There's a link in my post straight from the media saying we'll be "reimbursed". I'm calling bullshit.

China and Russia will happily agree to reimburse Mexico for the wall in exchange for the rights to put military bases there.

You've got some nerve calling this Obama a chickenhawk whilst simultaneously being against having boots on the ground. All the while the Cheetohawk took 5 deferments, says he knows more about ISIS than the generals, talks willy nilly about Nukes, while having as much military experience as a kid playing with the little green army men... Much as we don't like them, those drone strikes and bombing runs kept my family out of harms way.

It remains to be seen what he does militarily. His ideas about making us more secure are along the lines of limiting immigration from areas that host terrorists.

The bombings in no way kept your family out of harm's way. You were just lucky to not be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Thank goodness you weren't at the Boston Marathon, the night club in Florida, San Bernadino, etc.

Looks like there's a new record every year as the population grows. The article even says it started before Obama and I think the Baby Boomer population bump that's now retiring might have something to do with this as well. Fake news.

The baby boomers retiring accounts for a fraction, maybe 1/2, of the total new people who left the labor force.

Retiring Baby Boomers Are Not the Main Reason for the Drop in Labor Force Participation

Virtually anything and everything we do in the Middle East is oil and gas related. "Building democracy" is nothing but a smoke screen.

I wasn't a fan of building democracy. But once committed, we had no good option but to see it through. Hence the surrender was a disaster.

No but my family was in Afghanistan. They were in Iraq. I'm happy they're home. I'm glad neither of them are in Syria.
