It was a pile of shit. I even had to burn human shit with diesel fuel. The next day I might find myself on the perimeter with a machine gun which I really knew nothing about having been trained in electronics. Filling sandbags, pulling KP when we had red alerts 'cause locals who usually did this work were not allowed in our compound. Rocket attacks more than half the days/nights. Mosquito bites that were so numerous that if I told you, you'd call me a liar. All this and about 24 operations later and I still have to go to the hospital about 4 times a week. I went today.
Did I mention that I'm a recovering cancer victim? Have to take a hormone pill every day for the rest of my life. Can't eat or drink for an hour after taking the med.
I saw a Marine Corps buddy of mine up at the hospital, who saw more combat than me, today. Last time I saw him he was vigorous and could still knock out anyone you know but today he was in a wheelchair. Broke my heart.
I was ready to die for my country so I don't take any shit about me not being patriotic from anybody.
Let's get this out in the open, I voted for Hillary, because she was miles and miles better than Trump. The only thing I regret was that we should have all voted for Bernie, not because he was the better candidate than Hillary but because he would have won.
Don't agree with my politics? No problem, I'll still drink that one beer with you.
