Oddest thing a family member of yours believes

Other than Aldridge sucking, I have no unusual beliefs. But that's to be expected, given that I'm a Gemini sun, Cancer moon, with strong Virgo.

NateBishop, some of the most evil people the world has known die a peaceful old age in their beds.

Some innocent people suffer and die horribly.

Seems every time a woman or child is raped, she gets slut shamed while the rapist gets applauded.

I do not believe in karma.

That is a load of fucking bullshit! Are you accounting for how many woman play abuse in a divorce; then later they faked it all along?

This woman pride shit is annoying sometimes.

I think you are missing her point, and actually adding to her argument. Sometimes bad people get away with bad things.

Are you from near Yelm?
These people I am referring to are near that area. I don't know them that well. This issue I am working on for work involves people in this religion and I was kind of blown away by some of their beliefs.

What about the guys that get raped by women and told they are lucky. Shouldn't they get put in your comment too?

Guys get raped by women without consent too.

Everyone agrees with the point. It's the continuous hiding behind overstated victimhood to disguise childish neurotic manhatred which is so boorish.

This happened to my best friend. Found out his wife was cheating on him with a friend of ours, called her wanting to talk, she went straight to the police and said he beats her. Threw his life into complete turmoil for a year.

Karma is not one event. It's based on series of events. And even if you don't think of it "mystically"; one could argue "if you do enough right things, good things come to you".

I believe in karma because I think if everyone did unto others as you would like to be treated; this world would be a better place.

Also, let's look at it in a mathematical perceptive. One negative + negative = greater negative. One positive + positive = great positive. One positive + a negative = no gain.

The entire universe runs in balance of negative and positive energy.

Yeah I've seen that shit too. I had a friend that was split from his baby's momma. A year later they started talking again. She convinced him to take her back and flew all the way to Florida to pick her up. Then realizes she had a baby with another man she cheated on him with (she was pregnant before they split).

When he decided to fight for custody and tell his baby's momma to fuck off; she called the police on him saying he kicked in the door and beat her and told her that he was going to kill her if she didn't give him his child.

The thing is, the judge wouldn't let anyone testify in favor of my friend. Nobody ever saw anything that led them to believe that there was abuse. The neighbor never heard anything (they lived in an apartment). She changed her story three times, and the judge ruling on the restraining order threw her case out, but the criminal court wouldn't hear any of it.

I used to spend a lot of time at their house. I never saw anything, ever, that led me to believe that there was physical abuse. My mother came from a genuinely abusive relationship before she met my dad, so I'm very sensitive to it. I know for a fact that he didn't do the things that she said he did. Was he a good husband? Not really. They should have split up many years before they did, and I wasn't surprised that she cheated on him, but I never in a million years would have thought that she would frame him the way she did.

The bullshit situation in these cases are the kids. The mother usually is fighting for full custody because it gives them more support. Many woman use this type of tactics to get the restraining orders; then hover it over the head of the man to see their children.

I saw one case when I was in court for my own divorce. The woman had a restraining order against the dad. He came in begging to see their child. The judge said the restraining order stands until the next hearing; which was in three months. The man asked; "well the abuse accusation was only against her and it's fake; why can't I see my child?" The judge responded "that part of the case isn't what we are in court for; this is for the restraining order"

This man will be without seeing his kid for a solid three months. Even if he abused her; which I highly doubt; he should have rights to his child.

Preposterous. Women and children are the only people screwed over by society.

That's what happened to my friend. He didn't get to see his son for at least three months. The guy that his ex was cheating with was a cop, so I believe the whole thing had been cooked up for a while. When he caught her cheating, it was thrown into action, and I do believe that she regretted the decision, but I think the guy talked her into it.

If you are Christian you can not believe in Karma.

Fact.

Yes you can! Why? Cause I do!

If you believe that god can forgive your sins you can't believe in Karma.

Do you believe in heaven or reincarnation? Karma is based on reincarnation. Christianity is not.

Oh I feel you... No I don't believe in that karma. I just use the words in tongue and cheek; meaning "do good and good comes to you". Like on this life

But that is an insult to Buddhism. You're taking a part of their religion and bastardizing it. How would you like it if someone said I don't believe in Jesus but I'm Christian because I drink wine?

I thought karma was Hindu?

It was my understanding that Buddhism isn't really a religion, at least not in the same regard as Christianity. I took a geography of religion class and from what I read, I got the impression that Buddhism is a way of life. Later on it was converted into a religion, and a means of making money.

I think a lot of people believe in the principle of karma, but not necessarily the specific definition of it. You don't have to be Buddhist to believe that doing something bad will bring back bad things upon you.
