I thought John Lund said the rumor was that Oden wants to end up in Miami. Maybe Greg is going to Jimmy Kimmels show to announce he's taking his talents to South Beach.
 
I know Kimmel is an NBA fan, but ... I can't imagine what interest his audience would have in two Portland bigs, one of whom has been mostly a national punchline (to some unfunny jokes) for 4 years.

Weird.

I really don't know if Oden will have a lengthy career

But I believe he(and the Blazers) will be able to put it together for one season and make a magical run deep into the playoffs. May not be a sustained run, but one year? Sure.

Hope may be a better word, though

IF, and imho it's a huge if, he can pull a Bill Walton, he can leave the Blazers and do whatever the fuck he wants after that point.

My thoughts exactly. Why would he have on Aldridge and Oden, of all people--and why both of them, and why together on the same show? Doesn't really make sense. Oden has done nothing newsworthy, and the Blazers got ejected from the playoffs in the first round.

Why do I think this is just a silly rumor?

yeah it's just gonna be some skit with random nba players, not like interviewing LA and Oden
 
Kimmel plays 5 on 5 with the NBA players listed in this thread against some kids and dominates them.

That's the skit. If Oden is actually on the court, though, it will be newsworthy. They'll probably have him sitting on the bench eating a hot dog as a gag, though.
 
I dont care why they are on the show. I just think its cool that they will be on and that they are hanging out together in the offseason.
 
Well, Dallas' first round opponent was Portland (Aldridge/Oden).

Miami's first round opponent was Philly (Iggy/Turner).

It probably has something to do with the finals.
