OT Oden Charges?

Men have historically treated women like shit in this country from it's inception. From denying them the right to vote to hammering on their reproductive rights. This country wants women to have babies and STFU. Greg Oden is no different.

You know who I hate? The Nazis. Fuck those guys! Am I right? And fuck Hitler. What a tool. That guy was a horrible human being! And fuck hurricanes and earthquakes and cancer too! I hate all those things.

When Republicans say Obamacare is a "government takeover of healthcare"

They are a goddamn lie because it was written by the Heritage Foundation (mandate and all and it was Bob Dole's response to Hillary Care.
It was first enacted by a Republican (Willard Romney). Yet they continue to lie and lie saying it's a Gov't takeover....
if you want to keep your insurance, you can. if you want to keep your doctor, you can.

obamacare was never enacted by anyone before.

Dude.....

There is VERY little difference between Romneycare and Obamacare. They have a mandate and ALL in MA....

You've studied it?

And "RomneyCare" was never enforced by the IRS, etc. That's one huge difference off the top.

I see you shrugged off the really big lie about keeping your doctor and insurance.

This thread has gone off topic so it's getting moved to the off topic section.

I didn't shrug off anything. I just don't think it was a lie. I think it was huge oversight.

Romneycare isn't "enforced" by the IRS obviously because it's a state plan...

You should go to work for politifact :) They don't think Democrats lie, either.

The bolded part is one of many reasons why ObamaCare isn't RomneyCare.

It's the exact same plan. It was written by the Heritage Foundation. The federal mandate and all. The only reason why Romney's is different is because they tailored it for the state level. Otherwise it's the exact same plan. You sound like you're trolling now...

Exact?

Romney didn't raise taxes to pay for it. He didn't cut medicare, either.

You're reaching.

No... Your reaching... IT'S A STATE PLAN...

You wouldn't need to cut medicare to make it work. Medicare is a federal program...

And Obama EXPANDED Medicare. What he cut was the BULLSHIT program that is Medicare advantage. Completely unneeded program. He also got rid of the doughnut hole.

You'll hate on the link tho...

Gillespie says Obamacare "cuts seniors’ Medicare," a statement that implies the law is reducing benefits across the board.

There’s debate among analysts over how the law’s cost savings measures will impact some beneficiaries, particularly seniors enrolled in Medicare Advantage plans run by private insurers. Some of those seniors -- who comprise about 30 percent of Medicare recipients -- may lose some of the extra benefits they had before the law or could see higher premiums.

Overall, the health care law slows Medicare’s growth, but spending will still rise significantly and some new services for seniors were added. So we rate Gillespie’s statement Mostly False

So you keep making my point for me. It's a state program, not a federal one. Another point against theme being "exactly the same."

Not EXACTLY THE SAME at all.

And "mostly false" also means "somewhat true"

LOL

It's the Bob Dole plan tailored for a state plan. You can keep arguing semantics if you want BUT it has a MANDATE.
Written by the Heritage foundation and it is a REPUBLICAN plan.

So it has a mandate. That seems to be the only thing that's remotely similar.

Your favorite site.

However, to call it the Republican plan, as though a majority of Republicans endorsed it, goes too far. The House Republicans took a different path, and there was opposition from more hard-line members of the Republican coalition. It is telling that the Chafee bill never became a full blown bill and never came up for a vote.

(Note: Chaffee left the republican party to become an independent. I think he's running for president against Hillary as a democrat. But yeah, "it's a republican plan" is a joke).
