According to quick on twitter. Also says that odens agent says they have gotten calls but Greg's heart is in Portland.

Take this for what it's worth. I'm rolling my eyes. Very good news if true but I've been fooled too many times by Greg.
 
At least its the first positive statement we have heard about him in a long time. I'm cautiously happy to hear this.
 
greg isnt "fooling" people, he keeps getting injured...you think he is doing it on purpose? :lol:

this is great news, only the most jaded humans would think otherwise

Ain't that the truth. "huge boulders of salt" here but maybe I'll allow myself an incredibly small glimmer of hope
 
That's awesome. But I'll take the wait-and-see approach. Great for Greg that he's getting healthy.
 
one rather important thing of course, while he may be "cleared to practice" he has to sign or accept a contract with a team to be able to do so, we'll see

he will sign the QO within the week, and they will sign an extension before the all star game
 
what do you think is going to happen? season ending pregnancy? sign with miami? lets hear all the unlikely doom scenarios!
 
If Greg can play then we become a pretty good team that still needs outside shooting.
 
basically he's visiting Steadman, the doc who did his last MF surgery and there is rumor/hope he might be cleared is what it sounds like to me
 
However... It goes on to say Greg still couldn't practice because he's a free agent. I thought nobody could sign till Friday?
 
If JQ is getting this from Oden's agent, then I am skeptical 'cause it might be their ploy to get GO more offers come free agent time.

Our outside shooting would instantly become a lot better with Oden in the lineup. Defenses would have to sag off the shooters.

maybe by "practice" that means being able to play a half court game with others that involves contact? instead of being limited as he is now

I would not have wanted Rudy shooting 3's as awful as he was the past few years, and Roy while improved was okay. Wes for one. Nic, and Felton has improved his 3 pt shot
 
Even though he shot so horribly, Rudy still drew coverage when he was standing at the 3pt line and prevented some double teams on LA. Losing him for nothing will hurt.
 
I'm not too worried about missing out on Rudy's 3's. he was so inconsistent, he made me want Derek Anderson back.


Btw, Greg Oden never "fooled" me.
