I'm sure they're going to having trouble meshing, but they have so much quality they'll win a lot without meshing.

I may sound like a homer, but I honestly think that would be a much better team if they swapped Brook for Robin and JJ for Wes. Stars don't always make good role players...

I think they will be better in the playoffs then in the regular season. It looks likes a good half court team, but I can see them losing a lot of games to young teams who run them.

My biggest question mark is how DW fits with them. I think he prefers to run

Aging stars tend to be more accepting of roles, though. KG may be hated by most around here, but he won't tolerate anyone doing stuff bad for the team.

I can see that.
I don't think this team is going to have issues with chemistry, though. I think JJ was humbled in ATL, and no longer needs to "stretch his wings" and be the big man on campus. KG and PP are both so old that they'll be happy to be ancillary players, picking up the slack when needed. Williams, playing with two champs, will at least have respect for his teammates even if he wants them to move faster. Besides - he "came of age" as a player playing for the Half-Court master.
It'll be interesting to see what Kidd does. I remember him more as a great open-court PG. But if he can create a motion-oriented half-court offense they could have a real juggernaut with Williams & KG being capable of a 1-2 passing punch. Honestly, this is the team that Sloan should have been coaching. He could easily give MIA a run for their money, and even beat them handily, with this roster.

Those guys have been around for a long time. They've played with each other before. If they can stay healthy, they will dominate.
 
I know it's preseason, but look at the Lakers starting 5 for their first preseason game tomorrow night........

Projected starting lineup Lakers Sat. Steve Blake/Nick Young/Wesley Johnson/Jordan Hill/Chris Kaman
 
Tonight the return if Derek Rose and Danny Granger.

@Jim_Eichenhofer: Austin Rivers supplying some nice minutes, with 12 points/3 assists. Also a good sign, he's 4-for-4 on free throws (54.6% as rookie)

Refs in midseason form already, Lakers marching to the FT line despite no Kobe, Pau or Nash.

Bogut is moving a hell of a lot better than when we last saw him in the playoffs.

I'm watching the Bulls/Pacers game from the other night. I didn't realize the Pacers added Scola. With him, CJ Watson and Granger back......they are DEEP!
 
Phoenix Suns debut for Eric Bledsoe. He finished with 22 points (on 10-15 shooting from field), 4 assists and 5 steals in 21 minutes.
 
I'm sorry, but I hate the preseason. I know you can get hurt just walking down the street, but when guys get hurt in a meaningless preseason game, I hate it! Watching Cavs/Bucks game and just saw Ilyasova go down. He's one of their main guys and he's out now. And the number 1 pick Bennett is the second coming of Eddie Curry!

Damn how serious is it? I've always liked his game. Maybe a bit overpriced though.
