I feel like we need a well rounded all-star calibur player that could bring some experience and not be over 30. I wonder where we could find him...

How would Twitter feel about Deng+Mirotic+the Charlotte pick for LMA?

Answer: Uh....not good...

1. Yes, Boozer would be amnestied. 2. Deng is expiring. Draw for PDX is future assets. 3. Rose/shooting guard X/Butler/LMA/Noah

Mirotic and #16 pick is "the draw"? I don't see it....

What for though? I know you were really high on Lamb last year but he couldn't even sniff the rotation in OKC and Zach Lowe a month or so ago was on the BS Report talking about horrible reports about Lambs practice habbits coming out of OKC.

I didn't hear anything about bad habits at practice....I don't think he got floor time b\c of Sefolosha (defense) and Martin....

We disagree about his talent and NBA impact...time will tell...

Answer: Uh....not good...

Depends on what Chicago can get for Deng.

It'd have to be a 3-way.

.@Ken Berger has the #Twolves liking Shabazz. I think he has at least 1 fan in the FO. But not at the top. I'll be surprised if he's the pick.

Who is right? National writer or beat reporter? One would think the latter but then I think.....Jason Quick

Working on Mock 7.0. Team A convinced: 1. Len 2. McLemore 3. Bennett Team B: 1. Noel 2. Oladipo 3. Porter. It's going to be a long night

Fun night for being a draft fan though....

Hard to tell what POR would want for Aldridge (besides Noah), but this is a good year to tank for a high draft pick.

Prospects I like as sleepers, but didn't write about: Jamaal Franklin, Ricardo Ledo, Erick Green, C.J. Leslie, James Ennis, Tim Hardaway Jr.

I think Ledo & Ennis are intriguing as well...

I think if Shabazz drops to us we'll take him. I can live with the gamble on him at 10. Would much rather have Oladipo. I have a feeling Olshey's going with best SG available.

#Nets GM Billy King on possibility of dealing No. 22 pick: "I’d say there’s about a 60 percent chance – up. Maybe add another big."

Chicago interest in LMA is like Minnesota trying to find a package to trade for Batum last offseason.

Said repeatedly Blazers won't move LaMarcus Aldridge. I was wrong. Told tonight they'd be willing, but want 2 first-rounders and player(s).

Bulls or Spurs have improved offer for Rockets F Thomas Robinson, I'm told. Cavs may be left out at the end.

Robinson, Mirotic, Deng, 2016 1st rounder and Bulls 2014 pick for LA? Maybe and\or #20 this year? I don't see a lot there to like....

Mirotic info...

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...-chicago-bulls-carlos-boozer-replacement-plan

http://www.chicagonow.com/chicago-b...vily-on-newly-crowned-acb-mvp-nikola-mirotic/

http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/nikola-mirotic-5134/

Nikola Mirotic was the best player on the best team in the Spanish ACB league and thus won the ACB MVP despite a rather pedestrian sounding set of stats (12/5.5?) becoming the youngest MVP in ACB league history (replacing Marc Gasol).

How good will Mirotic be? Well he won the rising star award in consecutive years (only player to do that) and became the youngest MVP in ACB history. The hardware shows an appreciation of his game beyond the statistics he's piling up. European basketball isn't nearly so star oriented as the NBA is, so the statistics need to be viewed differently.

However, taking a peak at his per 40 stats over at draftexpress, then his numbers still aren't eyepopping, but show why he's such a deadly player. Over the past two seasons his Euroleague/ACB combined stats would come out to around 20pts, 50% shooting, 40% 3pt, 9 rbs, 1.5 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks.

and he has a $3 million buyout...I wonder if CHI paying that would be part of the deal as well (sending $3mil in cash)...

Can't see too many teams matching the CLE offer if that's what Neil wants.

Basically they're in no rush to trade him

Either the Blazers continue to suck and eventually trade Aldridge

Or the Blazers turn in to a nice team and Aldridge stays

Also, Cavs-Nets-Wolves three-way deal involving CJ Miles, Brooks and picks Nos. 22 and 26 very real. Or just 22 for Miles.

Sam Amico ‏@SamAmicoFSO 3s
One source said Cavs GM Chris Grant's offers "ungodly one-sided." Not first time I've heard that. If true, that's actually way it should be.

Maybe there is a potential CLE\POR deal for LA that could be had but CLE GM is not being realistic in what he is offering....

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope implies he’ll get drafted by Timberwolves or Trail Blazers dlvr.it/3ZT7Cf

Brian Wheeler ‏@blazerwheels 3h
For what it's worth @paulcoro of the Arizona Republic said on #WAW today that Marcin Gortat could b had for the right price.

Brian Wheeler ‏@blazerwheels 3h
@paulcoro also said M. Carter-Williams had 2 workouts with the Suns. Doesn't think they'd pick him at #5, but maybe at #10

Would Olshey really draft someone he never worked out/interviewed? He seems like the type of guy that that fixates on a player and does everything he can to get him.

I mean obviously something could have happened between closed doors but that seems unlikely. Even Len's visit was eventually leaked.

I dunno, I'm hoping for Shabazz but I just can't see it.

Its all part of the charades my friend. I wouldn't be surprised if Olshey pinpointed the guy he wanted in February or March.

Possible, but last year it was pretty obvious Lillard was the guy.

I might have over-valued Muhammad, under-valued Adams in my mock draft. But Shabazz impressed me at pre-draft workout with the Jazz.

Shabazz is an interesting player in this draft, all the experts\prognosticators say his stock is dropping....however...all the reports from his workouts have been good (like above)...Something has to give.....

oh, and he interviewed with the Blazers at the combine.....

I would not hate drafting Shabazz. His slide reminds me a bit of Paul Pierce in 98. Dude was supposed to go top five but slid to 10th.

Hearing CJ McCollum tied to them (and Kings) lately. RT @umichgirl83: what up with the pistons pick
10:47pm - 26 Jun 13 -samamico

So is Otto Porter at #3 the closest thing we have to a lock in the top 5?

I've heard some people mention Bennett, but the consensus seems to continue to be Porter... anyone have any info that'd challenge that?

Also, why the hell did the Detroit Titans wind up in the NIT last year, if Ray McCallum, Nick Minnerath, and Doug Anderson are all potential second round prospects?

Maybe Ray Jr.'s dad deserves to be ousted...

Just did a mock on nbadraft.net, and it occurred to me how many potentially great role players could go undrafted -

Seth Curry
Trevor Mbakwe
Brandon Paul
Khalif Wyatt
Phil Pressey
Arsalan Kazemi
B.J. Young
Christian Watford

There are more players that I think could crack a roster (Brandon Davies, Elias Harris, D.J. Cooper, Matthew Dellavedova, Rotnei Clarke, Alex Oriakhi, Rodney Williams, Peyton Siva, Jack Cooley, etc.), but those eight guys, in particular, should definitely be afforded roster spots with their skillsets.

This might be one of the most iffy drafts in recent memory at the top, but the second round is deep... full of potentially great role players, to the point where that list could go 0-8 on draft night, yet I could still see any of those eight guys being contributors on an NBA roster.

This is really one draft where if I were picking in the second round, I'd think twice about Euro-stashing.

One thing everyone in lottery says: No one's readiness for NBA has impressed them more than the IU players - Victor Oladipo and Cody Zeller.
