Rockets lose. We are 4 loses behind them with 10 games to go.

No sir. So we would have to finish ahead of them? Tie does us no good?

Howard out 10 days with a bum ankle...gotta love it. Beverly out. Hardin allergic to defense. I smell a losing streak in Houston.

Harden defense = hit the deck and hold your face like your nose is broke

Damn! Mavs needed a 10-0 run at the end of the game to squeak by the mighty Kings!

Thought there would be more interest in that Dallas game from you guys. We are just as close to Dallas 9th, as we are to Houston 4th.

We just didn't believe the Kings could do anything. lol.

Exactly. But somebody is going to lose a game or 2 to inferior teams. So far, the teams below us are winning all of the games they should over the last 1-2 weeks. Sooner or later it will happen. I just hope it's not us! We need to beat Lakers, Pells, Kings, and Jazz. The team who ends up #9 will probably be the one that loses those games they should win.

The good news is MEM, PHO and DAL all play each other between April 12 and 16. They can't all win. So that makes it nearly impossible for the Blazers to miss the playoffs. I don't think they will anyway. We have some very winnable games coming up, and all four of GSW, PHO, MEM and DAL would have to pass us to bump us down to 9th. Not gonna happen.

But man, the three way battle between PHO, MEM and DAL for the 7th and 8th seeds is going to be intense.

Good find.

CLE > Pacers

Hibbert down to 38th ranked center in the league in PER. Bullet dodged

Gained some serious ground tonight beating the Grizzlies and Phoenix and GS losing. I think we're 2.5 games behind Houston now and up a game on the bottom feeders across the board!

The best possible outcome tonight (I never thought Utah could beat OKC, so...)

Okay, why don't teams employ a hack-a-Bogut strategy against Golden State? He's shooting 34.4% this year, but only has 64 attempts. It's like the dirty little secret. There must be a reason... anyone got a bright idea?

Does he not play at the end of games or something?

Why do it at the end of games? I'd do it every play of the third quarter until Meyers and Wright fouled out. Why let someone hit a three when you can force Bogut to hit try and two free throws? ANY TIME of the game, that's a good return on investment.

I wouldn't want to foul like crazy and put us in the penalty early, but if it turns out we are already in the penalty, hack away, I say!

San Antonio up 36-22 at Indiana in the 2nd quarter. Are the Pacers in free fall, or are they just bored and waiting for the playoffs?

San Antonio is just on a different level. Just hope they aren't peaking too early. IIRC, it wouldn't be the first time they (or another team) did that.

Why would you hope the Spurs aren't peaking early? They are likely the Blazers' 2nd-round opponent!

Well, I hope they aren't peaking early because I'd rather they win the title (as much as I hate Manu Flopnobili) than Miami or OKC.

Plus, Portland has to first make the playoffs before we should talk about winning in the first round or worry about a 2nd round opponent.

The Blazers will play the Spurs in the 2nd round. Did you miss the spoiler thread?

Are you kidding? Go to Spurs forum.

Blazers will make playoffs. Spurs have to get through us before they can talk title.

It's more like we have to get through the spurs. At least be realistic. lol.
