Hearing from various league sources that 1, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 23, 24, 27, & 29 picks in round 1 are available.

That's a lot of picks!

Story's site didn't put Mo's salary into the total, because it was an option. LaMarcus Aldridge
Nicolas Batum
Wesley Matthews
Robin Lopez
Thomas Robinson
Damian Lillard
Dorrell Wright
Joel Freeland
Mo Williams
C.J. McCollum
Meyers Leonard
Victor Claver
Earl Watson
Allen Crabbe
Will Barton

add up to 62,210,823, and Barton's is non-guaranteed so you could shave off about 1M more if you wanted to ditch him. We can't get below 61.3M without trading one of our players away.

You're correct that the cap's projected at somewhere around 63M. We don't get to combine cap space with the MLE. So basically, if we did nothing, we'd get the cap space allotted (say, 2M) and the Room Exception. We're better off just not renouncing our MLE and BAE (which we'd have to do to get "cap space").

Now, if we did something like trade Nic to Orlando for their #4 pick and an 11M trade exception, then we could do some machinations to go after free agents. But I don't see that happening.

Thanks! I've been waiting for an answer like this. So... no capspace.

Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA
Marcus Smart is emerging as serious consideration for Utah with fifth pick, league sources tell Yahoo. Smart didn't workout for Jazz.

Oh shit....Do we over react guys? I think we should over react.... Oh man!!!

Batum and Wes? Batum and future pick? Wes and a future pick? 1 starter, multiple? Is LA signing cheap to build big three around Parker? Interesting...mike rice might not be so crazy after all folks!

The Knicks, Blazers and Nets are among the teams trying to acquire a first-round pick, according to league sources.

There are a lot of teams that want to acquire an additional first-round pick, but the asking price for firsts is very high this year.

It's a high price because it's a good draft this year.

The question is in 3 years from now are we going to be saying coulda, woulda, shoulda?

How could we have gotten him? LMA won't sign an extension with the Cavs and they wouldn't give up the #1 pick for Love for the same reason.

Maybe he would re-sign with the Cabs. No telling who else will be in cle ;)

Best offseason ever

Gray coat, white shirt, black tie, red rose.

I think the blazers would have traded up for Lillard if needed. In other words they knew he was theirs because they were so high on him they were going to do anything.

I'll also mention that trading to draft Parker would free up a lot of cap room to work on bench as well. It makes sense ina. Lot of ways.

Just curious, would you trade Lillard for Parker?
