Vernon Adams said:It's not about your height; it's about your football IQ and how much you prepare for the game. It's like, I went up to the Pac-12 from, you know, Eastern Washington. You know, at first it was a little rocky. I broke my finger; I played in about two...two games with my finger broken on my throwing hand, so that's why I wasn't producing at first. But when my finger was healthy, from University of Washington all the way to TCU, you see a huge difference in my play. You see a huge difference in everything, and that's what I'm trying to pitch.
I'm not a cocky dude at all, you know what I'm saying? I'm very humble, but just to tell everybody: just put on the film when I'm not playing, and put on the film when I am playing--going back to Eastern Washington, going back to Oregon, whatever you want to go back to...I'm just gonna tell you, I'm a game changer.
Vernon Adams was on the Dan Patrick show today, right at the beginning of the third hour, discussing how his height is being (in his mind) unfairly held against him in this year's draft process. Came out real fiery after a couple minutes.

I don't think interviews are going to change his draft stock at all, but I think his agent is doing a good job getting him the publicity he needs in advance of the draft.
If you like Vernon, go listen to that interview. You'll love him even more. Dan, the Danettes, and several tweeters/callers are commenting about how much they loved his fire.I like Vernon. I think if he had stayed healthy, the Ducks would have had a really good chance of getting back to the playoff.
With Vernon they were blowing out TCU.
Without Vernon they blew a huge lead and lost the game. It was a perfect microcosm of the entire season.

You like ragland?I'm pretty sure my Packers will select one of the following three:
1. DT to replace Raji's departure from football (I think this is highly likely)
2. ILB so they can move Clay Matthews back to OLB and pressure QBs (This is likely if Ragland falls down to the 27th spot)
3. TE to revamp their receiving corps and give Rodgers another weapon (This would be a surprise if they selected Hunter Henry in the 1st round)
Oakland needs a mlb that can guard tight ends. So i dont think hes a good fit for us. I see him struggling mightily there.
Yeah idk if i want nkemdiche at 14. He could be good but too many red flags. Would rather trade down 5-10 spots and hope he falls
So jerry jones overruled his gm?
Did anyone see that Laremy Tunsil's Twitter account just got hacked during the draft and posted a video of him with a bong helmet, leading to him deleting it?
Myles jack. Raiders worked him out extensively. If they take him they feel confident in his kneeWho are you hoping the Raiders will select at 14 if they don't trade down?
That tells me oakland didnt feel right about jacks knee.
Raiders needed another safety so it makes sense. I just dont like drafting a safety in the 1st round.
Yeah but its the browns. No idea why they took coleman when treadwell is on the board. Hue jackson is a good coach though. So we will see. They definitely have the picks, just gotta hit on themI like what the Browns are doing. Trading down for a nice cache of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round picks. That's a team with a lot of holes and it will require several drafts to rebuild.
Looks like we couldnt have traded back, atl took a safety three picks later. There were some stories about Jack possibly needing microfracture surgery in the near future.
The Raiders probably should have traded down, pick up some extra picks, and select a Safety (near bottom of 1st round or early part of 2nd round).
Not sure how I feel about what the Titans did.... seemed like they overpaid for the 8th pick.
How do you feel about the Niners grabbing DeForest Buckner?
You guys got a beast at DE!
After watching Buckner and Armstead at Oregon, and now they're both Niners, I'm..... not psyched.
Buckner is better than Armstead. No doubt about that. I just never really felt like either of them were huge difference makers.
