The kid is a project. Plain and simple. I will be pretty shocked if he can come in right away and start putting up numbers, even in SL.

I don't think you are crazy. Shabazz is helpful to have, but will likely cost too much to keep. Jake is a hot pile of garbage when he actually touches the floor. Pat, is not great. But he works hard and doesn't hurt the team while he is out there. He should never start or be the first guy off of the bench, but he gives the team minutes.

Which is what happened in the playoffs against the Pelicans. In that article they have a picture of Cousins getting beat. With Cousins hurt the Pelicans were much quicker on defense with AD at the five.

No and I don’t think the deadline to pick up his option is until after summer league. I don’t see any downside to keeping him around for summer league.

Indeed, he has a non-guaranteed contract which can be useful in matching salaries.

Why not? Not everyone on the summer league roster is under consideration for a training camp invite. Remember Stokes last year? He balled out and it didn’t matter.

Because he's a horrible defender. I'd bring in a good defender to go against our young guards to challenge them a little bit more in practices.
