AbsolutelyFor the record, the exception doesn't expire until towards the end of July. It might be better to use it this summer.

Lmao. Delusional. It will be fun to watch a DeAndre led Clippers team snatch the last playoff spot from Blazers after Neil stands pat at the deadline tomorrow
When he was traded on draft day to minny we shoulda stepped in and offered CJ and filler. And how do you suggest doing that? We don't have the pieces to outbid teams.

My point is the last 2 All Stars who would of fit us perfectly and were on the block didn’t end up here, that shit didn’t happen with Trader Bob. No response needed. So you do know that CJ was still a poison pill contract at the draft making him nearly impossible to trade then right? Do you think Chicago would've wanted CJ at over $23 million or the package of young guys they got on rookie deals and a much higher pick we could've given them. You don't know if Olshey tried or not either.
Twitterverse says Kings May be interested in Harkless.
I know I know but it’s super slow and that’s all I could find.
And yes I know things have changed a lot with contracts and such since then, man some of you take this shit WAY too serious.
We don't need JeffersonAdrian Wojnarowski
Indiana has been aggressive in offering its salary space to extract a first-round pick for absorbing a bad contract, league sources tell ESPN. Pacers would send Al Jefferson back in those deals.

May be Portlands only chance at ridding themselves of a bad contract.

@wojespn: As NBA GM’s prepared for the final hours to the trade deadline, there was little enthusiasm for an impactful final day of player movement. Deals, yes. Difference-makers? Not so much.

DeAndre Jordan's shooting percentage is 65.3 this season... that's second in the entire league. No, the question was the likelihood of his being a blazer. Not his shooting percentage if he becomes a blazer.

I love GR3. He's very underrated. Could be very solid if given the opportunity.I really despise trading 1st round picks, especially in a salary dump but I would be THRILLED with this trade:
Por gets Al Jefferson and Glenn Robinson III
Ind gets Evan Turner and Blazers 2018 1st round pick (with some protections)
Blazers shed $6 million off the payroll this year and a ton of future money. They also create another trade exception for about that $6 million. GR3 is a potential diamond in the rough who has been hurt all year and is coming back in a couple weeks. This may be the only legit chance to dump Turner's contract until the summer of 2019. At the draft the Blazers can recoup picks by taking on contracts for teams trying to get under the cap in free agency using the two different TPE's they'd have or could trade Jefferson to the Lakers for Clarkson or something like that since he's on one of those non-guaranteed for next year deals.
Then trade with Sacramento:
Por gets Vince Carter
Sac gets Maurice Harkless
Portland adds a vet to the bench with an expiring deal. These two trades get us a WAY better financial situation immediately and throughout the next couple years.
They could even afford to use the tax-MLE to sign someone who is waived or bought out after the deadline since they'd have about $5 million cushion to the luxury tax.
This would be a great day tomorrow.

And then cap it off by trading the 2019 MIN/LAL 2nd as well as another 2nd for Randle. That 2019 2nd is going to be very high and valued by LAL since its their own, and they're looking at being bad again next year. They apparently can't fetch a first for Randle so that's the next best thing.
I'd also offer Aminu to CLE for Frye and two 2nds, and then offer Meyers as well as those two 2nds to Dallas for Josh McRoberts expiring contract.
Lillard / Napier
McCollum / Lillard
Robinson / Connaughton
Randle / Collins
Nurkic / Davis
And we'd have potentially $20M+ in cap space this summer in a less competitive market.
