If they get rid of Randle and his caphold in the next 2.5 hrs, they can potentially open up nearly 60 mil in capspace
The can get rid of Randle's cap hold in the summer at a moment's notice by just renouncing him. No need for them to trade him right now.

Not understanding LA's thinking here. They only thing they get out of this after IT leaves this summer is a late first rounder and a year off from Clarkson's contract.

And it cost them Nance to do it?

Thought they were holding off on their FA plan til 2019. What's the point of opening up space now?

But it's a good deal. They clear $12M of salary by letting Clarkson go and get a first round pick that might be around 22-24 which isn't bad at all. Nance has not been great and would have required a pay rise in the Summer.

good call, but im under the assumption that they could acquire some sorta asset for Randle.

Why wouldn't they just take what they could get now if they aren't planning on him being there

Have you actually looked at Bradleys stats? He's not exactly a game changer.
I've read that a lot of players consider him the best defensive player they go against. and he is hitting threes at 37% and he is in age range of Lillard and Mccollum.

Bradley is one of those guys though who you really can’t judge by his numbers though. He can lock guys down and that won’t show up on the sheet. I asked Dame a few years ago, who he has the toughest time against and he didn’t even hesitate. He said Bradley plays him the toughest. Said he really respect his game and court demeanor.

I’m confused we think our guard combos are bad defensively Ball and Isiah will be awful. How do those two work together?
They won't. Highly doubt Isaiah will play more than 25 games for LA.

Great trade fo LAL, fuck. They can sign 2 max players in the summer.

Man, espn's trade machine works fast. Already have their rosters updated.

No they can't, they still have to move Dengs contract for nothing to be able to sign 2 max players.

They'll have enough room for two max players and like 5 ring chasers on some variation of the minimum. Lotsa roster spots to fill.

And they need to renounce KCP/Isaiah/Frye/Randle/Lopez, etc.

2 hours to go and the first domino has fallen. Is Kevin Love the next one?

So Cavs actually helped Lakers to get LeBron. fuck sake.

Aminu, Davis, Harkless, and our 1st (lottery protected) for Love. Would the Cavs do that if we agreed to take Shumpert in a separate trade using the TPE?

Cavs are keeping Love until LeBron bolts town. This move was made to mollify King James, not to rebuild. If this was a rebuild, they would have not traded their pick and let IT walk as a free agent to not pick up salaries.
