Yeah, I know him, watching him every game. He's a level above everyone on that draft.
Thought maybe as a Croatian you decided to deny the existence of Slovenian talent. :)

So who are we getting from the Nuggets? That's who Neil always makes his mid season trades with. Harkless for Barton?

Maybe it is just me, but it makes Portland a more complete team. Didn't look at any of the payroll issues, but strictly from a talent standpoint I like it.
I do too, but I'd also insist on Cleveland taking Leonard back as well.

I'd consider CJ and Ed to Cleveland for Love, Korver and the Brooklyn pick... We probably still make the playoffs, barely, but then Stotts finally has the legit stretch 4 he has always tried to make other players be. Slide Aminu to the 3 and Turner to the 2 or Pat C to the 2. It would be a transition to a younger team anchored by Vet's like Love and Dame. SHort term sideways move long term gain.

I mean... if we're looking at PER and per 36 numbers.

Slightly disingenuous; Lamb plays consistent minutes, plays every game, and is performing on par with what he did last year as well. He's a legit player. He would more than make up any offensive difference between CJ and Love, and be a significantly better defensive player at the 2.

How do teams with professional analysts not see this kind of financial crunch coming?

They need great analysts.

I am actually an FP&A analyst by profession with some decent experience. Find me a job at an NBA team!

That is my point regarding the trade. CJ is better than Lamb individually in scoring, but add Lamb's defense and size and it is much closer. Then add MKG's defense and athleticism with Love's rebounding and scoring and to me it is a no-brainer.

A lot of chatter in the twitterverse about Bazemore.....really hope that doesn’t happen.

Future Picks:
Portland has all of their own 1st round picks and no one elses in the current future.
Portland does not have a pick in either 2018 or 2020.
In 2019, they have the better of LAL or Minny 2nd rounders (they do not have their own.)
Extra 2nd rounder in 2021.

So, trading a pair of future 2nd rounders isn't likely.

What do we have to trade?
2018 1st rounder.
Ed Davis EC
Some young players who haven't peaked.

Other Notes:
The following teams do not have a 1st rounder in 2018:
Detroit, Houston, LAL, Miami, Milwaukee*, Pels, OKC*, Toronto*.

*picks movement depend on where teams finish.

It's now the worst time for Europeans. Almost midnight and having to sleep and hoping nothing happens during the night...

Chandler and Dudley for Hark, Turner\Meyers, and Vonleh?
