Any noise on Tres Tinkle? He has a solid swing game and can shoot.

I read somewhere where he has a commitment from a team in the late first. Boston, Toronto & Utah were mentioned as possible teams. That’s true. Craft was a much better defender but he didn’t have to be a primary scorer, either, so that was his role. I’m going to go homer and say Pritchard is in the bench rotation for a decent team in two years.

Not sure if you noticed this but not a single underclassman on last year’s Duck team declared for the draft. It was a mediocre team that Altman coached and Pritchard willed to the regular season conference title. Arizona has 3 first-round picks in this draft alone tonight and possibly 4. I don’t expect Pritchard to be a starter, but he’s better than TJ McConnell who has a niche career off the bench for good teams. Pritchard has legitimate 28’ range off the dribble. I think he’s a solid backup PG. I don’t see the downside unless he’s expected to start. I see a potential Fred VanVleet in a best-case scenario.
@TBpup - Have you heard any legitimate rumors about Portland for tonight? I'm expecting it to be a quiet night - but wanted to see if you thought there was anything to watch for.Jaynes has lost his mind! He is touting Olshey's Draft skills (without mentioning Collins, Swanigan or basically any one since CJ) and now was just singing Hezonja's praises.
Kissing Neil's ass in the most profound of ways.
I actually think the only thing Olshey does well is what he does with our picks. He gets us huge value with guys like PatCon, Layman, and most recently Gary. He takes swings at guys that make sense like Zach and Ant. That being said the best thing he does is cash picks in to upgrade existing roster spots like RoLo and what he just did with RoCo. You can't tell me that before seeing what we do with the 46th pick you can give Olshey an A for what he did with the 16th. That being said, fuck Olshey for not trading CJ... until the day he does.Jaynes has lost his mind! To each their own, I've stated several times now that I'm sure my perceived limitations of him would be minimized by a bench role. I just see a limited player and without much of a role on this team. I'd prefer Neil swing for the fences with our sole draft pick and sign a backup PG that can be counted on reliably.
Agreed, all signs point toward Olshey trading up for Scrubb or someone on his radar and off of ours, unless of course he has a guy targeted that will be there at 46 but Neil is deliberate late in the draft.Nothing substantial. Just a feeling that Portland will move up at least a little to get someone they have targeted. Neil likes to spend current and future Draft picks. That is just his history. Crabbe, Trent, etc.
If the S&T with DAL/OKC comes off, the Thunder will have picks #18, 25,28 and 34.Guessing they will try to consolidate and move up or stack some for (more) the future.

Future second rounders and other shit he always does to get into the top of the second or late first.Trading WHOM?

haha I think Evan Turner was the primary scorer, or Diebler who we drafted as well. Sullinger was a beast as well
I just want to say, it is DRAFT DAY!!! It's my favorite day of the year. I love all of the possibilities. I am a huge Blazers fan but I'm also a huge fan of the NBA. We might do another really cool thing tonight like we just did with RoCo or we might do absolutely nothing up to and including just trading out of the second round completely. The rest of the league is all over the place with how they evaluate this draft we have a few teams with a grip of draft picks (yeah I used grip like it's 1999). It's just a great time for a pretend GM like me, to see what all of these real GMs do and no that is not a shout out to realgm.com... well I guess now it is. I'll be posting all evening but Happy Draft everybody!!!
Diebler!!
Jake Layman was my neighbor for two years in Portland. Cool younger guy.
