Believe would fit the mold, but obviously would be a TPE target, not a CJ one.

A Nance trade wouldn't make sense unless Garland or Sexton were also included, and probably also draft compensation.
We could technically use the TPE to sign-and-trade for someone.

I'd really like it if we pursued RoCo. Maybe he could be had for the 16th pick, a future first rounder and Ariza. Then figure out something for the three spot. Maybe Hoodie would be ready to start or Gary could or maybe Nas has taken a huge leap forward... I don't know if there's a FA out there that we could get to start for the MLE.

Edit: Wait, maybe Derrick Jones Jr. could be had for the full MLE. That would be badass.

Well now...

Yeah, I like the guy. I think he has a really nice shooting stroke that has been underutilized to this point, he is obviously an all world athlete with insane length and he has a motor. I projected RoCo as a PF and that's why I thought Jones would be a nice addition on the wing.

Just want to say that I think the Grizzlies had a low-key excellent draft. I like both their players (Tillman and Bane) and I also think they're perfect for the Grizzlies "brand".

EDIT: forgot they also got Tillie after the draft.

Didn't know he was a "Sr." Those are rare, at least, in the NBA.

Is it time for the 2021 Draft thread? At this level of double digit leads, and now multiple injuries, maybe we keep our Lottery pick.

I'm quickly thinking that might be the only "Sensible" way to go this year. Of course I'm no expert but just seems we have seen this a bunch of times.
Sit Lillard down so he can go be with his family. He has a couple kids on the way. Go get him a top 3 pick if at all possible?

This roster DESPERATELY needs an influx of impact talent that is inexpensive. The only way to do that is to get lucky in the Draft. As of now, we wouldn't have a Draft pick at all, but that could change very shortly. With Dame/CJ set to collect $70,000,000 next season, and $$ decisions coming soon for Trent, Collins, Nurk, etc, there is no cap space to make big moves. Neil has shown he won't make major trades and just keeps rotating the ancillary pieces.

This years Draft is projected to be much better than last year's. Play the hell out of Giles, DJJ, Trent, Ant, Little, and Elleby and find out what you have. Don't run Dame into the ground (again) just to make the #7-10 seed just to get pummeled in the Playoffs.

We have seen this movie over and over again. Imagine the injection of hope, talent, Blazermania of adding a top-3 pick to Dame and whatever tertiary pieces are left after a rested season. I'd rather do that than run Dame down in a season that once again just won't matter for the sake of being in NBA purgatory once again.

If he stays in the draft, I'd be very happy to take YVES PONS with our second rounder:

He didn't, and change "take with our second rounder" to "sign if he isn't drafted"

He has pretty anemic stats but he could be a Bo Outlaw type.
