Yes, both Walz and Vance served overseas. Neither saw combat time as far as I know.

Yes, Walz retired months before his unit was deployed. He retired to begin his political career. They are trying to make it seem like his unit got notice of deployment and he said nah, I'm retiring and abandoned them. That's not how it happened. A guy in his unit who is voting for Trump even verified this.

This is just some stupid shit and if it's all they have, they are in trouble.

The second Iraq war was two years old when Walz retired. It was well advertised troops needed to be rotated. Reserve units were being called up. Walz was in a position to know where his unit stood in the call up order. Which is probably why so many soldiers in his unit felt betrayed by him. Plus....

Walz was promoted from E8 to E9 with the condition he complete a 2 year course for command segeant major. Walz failed to complete his two year commitment before he retired. Therefore, when he retired, he was dropped in rank back to E8.

I don't think trying to swiftboat a man that served a quarter century in the guard is the win you think it is, but, by all means, this hill is yours.

Just going to leave this here. Anyone else want to research Joe Eustice is welcomed to. He's definitely not a fan of Walz politically, but he has a lot more ground to speak than General Bonespurs and Captain Satonthecouch.

It’s crazy a dude who was a correspondent in the military is really trying to discredit another former military guy.

Such a desperate attack

There is a huge difference between being stationed in Italy, and Iraq.

A group of sport ocean fisherman I ran with, decided to take Iraq vets fishing, all expenses covered by us.

My Iraq vet was a captain, just home a short time. He was a nervous wreck the entire fishing trip. Every little noise made him tense up. My impression was, he had not slept well in a very long time.

Your guy JV Vance did 4 years and out as a correspondent.

This guy is so cringy he’ll fall into obscurity just like Palin did

As a war vet I'll be the first to tell you that no enlisted personnel ever feel betrayed by someone regardless of rank, getting out and rejoining the world or retiring as they say.I guarantee you his unit threw him a hell of a party. I was offered E5 to reup and do a second tour in Vietnam and I took the 6 month early out instead and stayed an E3...like Walz, got out and went to college, bought land with my GI bill. Nothing wrong with that and nothing wrong with choosing to stay out of harms way in the military if possible. It's a false dig at a 24 year military career to say he bailed instead of doing 26 years...we disagree about this topic...most career military guys do 20 years and call it a day...he did 24...a hell of a stretch. Vance is a coward to call out his military service or anyone's for that matter.

Who would you like?

The only person, in either party, that is a resonable answer to your question, is Amy Klobuchar.

I do not agree with all of her views. But, Amy is the only one that has the qualities needed to bring us all back together. Everyone else is
dividing us.

So, all of us must compromise, and give up the cult agendas and actions, in both partys.

Citing the crowd size of your insurrection as an accomplishment is weird.

These soldiers who felt betrayed seem to exist in Republican imagination.

Old fisherman keeps trying to justify supporting Trump eventually. Harris lacked foreign policy experience. Then she lacked executive experience. She had both. Then her VP retired after 24 years.

Yeah. I'm done talking about the subject anymore.

It's the current GOP tactic of not wanting anyone to eye the gaping holes in their side so they making a topic of a specious issue on the other.

With all the important stuff to talk about, it's insulting to spend any more oxygen on this. Walz doesn't need to defend himself nor to be defended.

WRONG, ON ALL COUNTS!!!

Tim Walz, allowed his state to burn while he fiddled on the roof like Nero, has extreme leftist views, and is also a liar. He's constantly lied about his military career, and not in small ways, but complete fabrications.
Yet will anyone who proclaims to be so concerned about Trump's supposed lies care?

Unless you served your country…..your opinoin on it doesn’t mean shit.
ALSO, I’ll ask you for the 5th time….why the hell is every single tweet you post on this forum BLURRY as hell!

There is a difference between master Sargent and CSM. He probably shouldn't say he retired as one if it was really the other. I don't think it swings the election, so I understand people wanting to just move on.

There is an alternate universe where my dad takes the same path at the same time as Walz did (my dad was promoted in 2003 and completed the CSM academy during his first combat tour) and is the conservative democratic governor of Idaho and VP candidate. My life would certainly be different had he continued to teach at my high school while I attended and also decided to go into politics. There have many people through the years that have told him he should. In this alternate universe it isn't Hunter's laptop on Fox news, it's mine.

The election season has really been a rollercoaster the past couple months. This added a nice little personal touch.

Oh guess who is funding this? Harlan Crow!

I like Klobuchar also - she was on MSNBC last night talking about how she was good friends with Walz and how she thought he was a great pick for VP.

It seems like they have a valid reason to voice their opinions.

Political mudslinging is indeed a valid reason.

It's a bit overwrought. He didn't abandon his troops on the battlefield. He retired, as was his option. After 24 years, which is 24 more years than Donald Trump, Kamala Harris, and I all served, and 20 more years than JD Vance served.

For whom do these two speak? Were they selected as spokespersons?
Charges were raised and debunked before Congressional and Governor's race but now are back from the dead with national profile because Trump has nothing to run on.

Ultraconservative Wall Street Journal editorial board made it clear they oppose Harris/Walz ticket but said this is bunk.
