I remember them coming out and saying he wasn't Black enough. Pretty much the same thing they are trying to use against Harris. "She's only half Black and because she once said she is Indian then she must be lying about that also". It's pathetic. Why is her heritage being discussed at all?

Seriously, I worked with a fella, he wasn't overtly racist but he was from the time when racism was kind of taken for granted. When I told him Obama was going to win, he said "Nah, the country's not ready for one of them to be president."

Heck, he might even have voted for Obama, but, you know, there's strength in numbers. There are forces in this world that prosper from keeping people apart, suspicious, mistrustful.

And yes I know 90% of this board will say Biden did not say that. the video was clear that he said it.
 
We have a senate race here in PA this year, too.

The incumbent is a Democrat whose father was governor. The Republicans, for the second straight senate election, have sent a guy that kind of sort of lives in another state, but anyway ....

The Republican candidate's big ad starts with "Bob Casey wants to let boys play in girls sports." That's even before taxing social security. I haven't heard anything about any boys in Pennsylvania transitioning to play girls sports. I presume there might be a couple, but it's not common.

For that to be the Republicans' major running point tells me every reason not to vote for any GOP candidate. It's bigotry and it also shows a complete lack of good sense that I want in my elected legislators. Your main point is telling me that I shouldn't vote for a guy who's done so much for the state for something that's not happening? Good grief.

Still waiting on the sources, evidence or anything whatsoever to back up this claim because she forgot to include any of that, but this is huge!

You thought it had all the media talking because it hit close to home for you.

BTW, Trump's never gotten 50% of American voters, so stop thinking half the country thinks like you. They don't. It's more like a third, which still is bad, and then another 15% just vote the party into which they were indoctrinated.

Its impact is negligible, though. And it took a couple of hours to defuse Biden's gaffe, because it took minutes to find where Trump said the same about Democrats at a Wisconsin rally last month, and for a bunch of anti-Trumpers to basically say when you call people garbage, don't get butthurt for getting called garbage back.

Trump then did the rest for himself by riding around in Garbage Truck One, missing a doorhandle and then performing the coup de grace by telling women he's going to take care of them "whether you like it or not."

The media's started to wise up to this bothsiderism. They reported what Biden did, but they didn't give it more oxygen than it needed. Biden's words aren't going to make undecided voters vote for Trump, nor is is going to allow Trump cultists who already were voting or going to vote for Trump to vote again. A lot more people hate Trump than love him, and saying his biggest devotees are garbage because they are being racists -- which, BTW, was the context of his comment because of something YOUR SIDE said -- isn't making someone weighing policy or character vote for him. Last I checked, Biden's a lame duck ... guy isn't on the ballot.

It's pretty simple.

The Republicans are counting on a certain type or combination of a certain type of voter or voting action.

1. They need Democrats not to turn out.

2. They need low-information people who don't typically vote to decide to come to the polls and cast a ballot their way.

3. They need people who vote solely with their wallet and don't understand the pandemic and Trump's handling of it put us in the bad inflation situation, and Biden actually did a great job with the recovery compared to the rest of the world.

4. Effectively suppressing the vote in left-leaning areas.

The most frightening thing is, i think you actually might be serious with these schizophrenic claims where you think posters on an obscure fan forum for the least popular NBA team in the basement of the internet are payed influencers for the Kremlin.

Biden isn’t running and Trump calls Democrats garbage and scum all the time.

But it’s not newsworthy because the bar is so low for him.

All that happened is when Trump made a big deal about it, people went back and started posting video of him doing the same thing multiple times.

Regardless, it's not impacting the votes. No one that hasn't voted and is unattached to Trump already is saying today "Biden called Trump's people garbage for calling Americans garbage. That makes me angry enough to vote for Trump."

You are right it wont swing anyone, but it does fire up the base to get more of them to the polls. It is all about voter turn out
