Thought: can you imagine if it's Houston vs LAC! Jordan and Smith/Howard going back and forth to the free throw line all 4th quarter!

Russell Westbrook scored 54 points on 43 shots, good for a 1.26 points-per-shot average. Over the past 30 years, there have been 187 50-point games, and only four have been less efficient.

PPS
Chris Webber (2001) 1.09
Kobe Bryant (2007) 1.20
Kobe Bryant (2006) 1.22
Allen Iverson (2000) 1.25
Russell Westbrook (2015) 1.26

So, 5th least efficient 50-point game in the last 30 years, comes in a loss and gets his 16th technical of the year that will get him suspended for the next game when his team is fighting for a playoff spot.

"I don't really give a damn what nobody thinks, to tell you the truth, man," Westbrook said of the 43 shots.

He KNEW a 16th technical would get him suspended, and he got one anyway.

"Of course he was aware [of having 15]," Brooks said. "He's been aware for a while now."

Typical Westbrook. All the talent in the world, but a stupid, stupid, selfish player.

First play of the game really sums up Harden. Harden makes a move and has a wide open jumper instead he pauses long enough to let defender come to him, pump fakes and jumps into the defender to get the foul. Just take the wide open jumper.

It's a little surprising that in 53 of those games, the 50-point player's team lost the game. (As did Westbrook's team last night.)

I wonder how many shot a decent % for their respective positions. Centers over 55%, Guards/Forwards over 45%

So if SA, Hou & LAC all finish with identical records, who would be the 5th seed?

I'm assuming with Memphis losing that they'll be in 6th.

EDIT - I think it'd be HOU..?

I'll take a look at it, give me a second.

Looks like if all teams end up tied:

SAS has tiebreaker over: Everybody
LAC has tiebreaker over: HOU
HOU has tiebreaker over: Nobody

1. GSW
2.SAS
3.LAC
4.POR
5.HOU
6.MEM
7.DAL
8???

I'm 95% sure...It is confusing though, they have all split the season series with eachother! Spurs would be the big winners because they would win the division in the tiebreaker with HOU.

Now if everyone ties with Memphis, then the rockets would be 6th and the Grizzlies would be 5th.

In looking at each if their last games, the Clippers & Rockets should win.

I would give Spurs & Griz a 60% chance of winning each.

To simplify things, if Spurs win- we play the Rockets. If Spurs loose- we get SA.

So we finally have an official playoff matchup. The red hot Boston Celtics will be heading to Ohio this weekend to play the Cleveland Cavaliers.

I want Pelicans to make playoffs but it is more important that the Spurs win. Hopefully, the Jazz beat OKC.

This Wash / Indiana game is hilarious.

Too bad we can't play one of these teams in the playoffs.

Inept. These teams are simply inept.

My god these teams suck.
I really don't understand why Washington is going so hard tonight. They're locked in to the 5 seed.

But more importantly...85 points each, at the end of OVERTIME? They do know that you win by scoring more points than the other team, right?

You gotta love when a game goes to double overtime and no team even ends up with 100 points.

Couldn't Washington have tied up Toronto for 3 seed if Toronto lost tomorrow? Who has the tiebreaker not that it matters now.

No. Chicago has the 3 seed, and Washington could not catch them. They could have tied Toronto with two wins and a Toronto loss, but it wouldn't have mattered since Toronto was a division winner and Washington wasn't.

Clip Show is going to win their 7th straight. Does that affect us at all?

That's what I meant. The 4 seed. But it doesn't matter anymore, right? So Toronto/Washington and Bulls/Bucks are set now?
