That's not even remotely true. Name one big man that we have developed under Stotts?

Nurk came in and almost immediately started beasting, so he doesn't count.
You really think its gonna take him 5 more years?

We will have to agree to disagree. Is not a true or not true thing. Its an opinion. I think your off on that one.

Who are you guys rooting for in the SA-Denver series in the case that the Blazers advance? Common sense says we want HCA, but damn the Spurs are looking like the tougher team right now. I still think I want the Spurs though
Not sure. All season I've been on about how DEN isn't as good as their record. For that reason, I think it would be nice to see them curb-stomped in the 1st. But, Pops is a wily MFer. It's not the Spurs roster that concerns me - it's the Pops/Stotts match-up that gives me pause. Roster-wise I'd actually rather play the Spurs than the Nuggets. But I'm getting way ahead of myself - I just want to beat OKC.

Not five MORE years. Just five years in general. We needed rotation players when we drafted him. It's not quite so bad now, but Curry/Hood/Kanter could all be gone after this season, and then what?

Okay, I'll bite.... why Aminu?

Firstly, why do you classify Aminu as a "big man?"

Second, how do you think we have developed him?

You've got your opinion, and I am unlikely to change it - fine. No problem.

However, for others who happen to care ...
1) I generally classify players who almost exclusively play PF as "big men." It's weird to me not to.
2) Just look at his 3FG% during his career:

OKay, thats a bit more fair.

We need to get past OKC. Not worried about Pop though. This league is about players.

SA.

It's kinda pompous to not bring a compelling argument and blame the the other side's "hate" as the only reason they disagree with you...
Nah, I have time and time before and you di t retain it.

Nah, I have time and time before and you di t retain it.

You gave no compelling arguments to combat the fact that he's been injured 5 years straight.

You gave no compelling argument to dissuade my apprehension about the season he only played 35 games.

You gave no compelling argument in response to our beating them in the playoffs while he was sidelined by injury.

You gave no compelling arguments. You only brought up imaginary scenarios of us attaining him and that it would be cheaper BECAUSE he's injury prone (not sure why you don't understand how that validates my argument).

So now that your wack arguments don't convince me, you're reduced to insulting my BBIQ and saying I didn't retain your argument that again, wasn't compelling...

Time for a new debate tactic or, we can just agree to disagree that we'll even be able to obtain him.

NBA recinds Durants technical...smh

Isaac shows flashes of being a monster, I really hope he develops.
Isaac's play lately has changed my opinion on him.

They have so many players with very high ceilings (Fultz, Bamba, Isaac, Gordon) that they could be a contender if all those guys reach their ceiling.

They'll likely need to hit in this years draft though. Someone like Kevin Porter Jr. would be great for them (he's a very talented boom or bust pick that has all-star potential but has injury/character concerns).

Fultz / Porter Jr / Isaac / Gordon / Vucevic w/ Bamba as the 6th man would have so much potential.

I could also see them trying to add a star by trading Bamba (if they're able to keep Vucevic).

BG is interesting in a lot of ways to me. Skillset, Athleticism, ability, talent he's an almost perfect fit for the Blazers. I definitely think their is a long injury history there and a decent argument that what it would require to get him may gut the team if he continues to have those injuries. He has missed parts of many post-seasons because of injuries which does lend to the idea that maybe he can't take the beating of a long NBA season.

I acknowledge your point about the injuries, but I think I find myself on the other side, I think I'd be willing to take the risk for him. He's a really special player (in my opinion) when he's healthy.

It isn't just injuries. There is also his contract and the probability that any team trading for him will have to give up substantial value. None of those concerns by themself is a deal breaker - but when you start to add them up...:smiley-unsure:

Going to sleep now. Need to be well rested for 8 games over the next 48 hours. If you want to know what Chris Craig and I think about these playoffs, check out NBAPlayoffsChrisEric.com every Monday & Thursday. Also available on Apple Podcasts and Stitcher Radio.
