OFFICIAL AROUND THE NBA: APRIL 2023

I think his contract makes that an unfair question. That's not bench money.

And besides, I think every single one of us on this planet would rather have Shaedon Sharpe.
I just read on here how horrible he is straight up. Not horrible for the amount of money he makes. Thats why I asked.

Nope. People don’t care about the NBA anymore. David Stern did this. The NBA was tough. It used to be physical. It was about rivalries and stars that wanted to win more than anything. Those days are long gone. Now it’s a bunch of soft socialites who couldn’t care less about winning. Even Dame said it. The league is different and people stopped watching.

There is so much more out there to watch with streaming. We are inundated with options for entertainment and people aren’t watching anymore.
Meanwhile the NHL has been gaining viewers and the NHL regular season & playoffs are going on around the same time as the NBA regular season & playoffs.

Hockey is and will never be at the level of the NBA in the US. Just ain’t happening ever.

How does this apply to baseball and hockey? I know the Thorns average more attendance than a couple MLB teams.
Attendance is irrelevant. We're talking eyeballs on tv screens. Or computer screens.

Yeah but what happens when Jody sells the team like so many fans want? The odds are not in our favor that it will be to someone who has over 20 billion that would be willing to have the highest payroll like Paul did year after year. There seem to be more ultra-rich owners these days of other teams. Can Portland find one? Seems like it would be someone with few ties to Portland.

Umm Phil Knight ??

I know, I'm just messing around.

I don't think I could necessarily be a Russ fan, but after watching him struggle the past couple of seasons, I think I'm glad he's found his way.

If he heard me say that he'd probably call me a cupcake, however...

I think Mike Brown will win COTY but what Mark Daigneault has done with the Thunder has been truly impressive. OKC is starting 2 rookies and a 2nd year player.

OKC team is fun to watch. The 2 Jay Williams are the steal of the draft then add Chet next year

Stop! They aren’t even in the situation to make the post season without his play this season. Bitter ass Blazer fans crack me up.

Don't go to a Pelicans fan forum if his post bothered you. They are not happy with CJ.

I’m going to let you have a chance to re-read your previous post. If I’m not mistaken you want me to read what nutjobs on a forum think about players and use those opinions as if they reflect those of the Pels front office and coaching staff?

Let me know if you need to reload your green font on the laptop homie.

Bruh..... you're on here too.
AND? I wouldn’t expect someone from outside here to take ANYBODY’S including my opinion on players on our roster with any seriousness. Nobody on here knows what the brass thinks. Shit, I travel, spend time with and even sit down and talk hoops with our guys, and I don’t know what they are thinking.
Can you imagine somebody reading shit hear and then turning around and claiming “inside sources tell me”.

Who was talking about front offices though? I'm confused.... Didn't Beerboy just bring up that CJ didn't help his team win?

Tanking is apart of sports to acquire top talent. The NFL has it as well. In MLB, they just field a super low dollar team that's borderline criminal. Until Top Free Agents have to go to struggling small market franchises first ( ain't gonna happen). Tanking will have to be used.

There's small gatherings of family that have a higher attendance than the Oakland As.
