I'd you go to that trouble, why even bother paying for league pass?:devilwink:

Honestly, the pirated streams suck ass. Not uncommon to have them die in the middle of a game. Or lag out constantly.

I haven't personally gone to the trouble, but there's basically a guide on how to do it.

I had great luck all last season, no real lag, hardly ever dropped a game.

Looks like $100 bucks for league pass again.

Dear NBA Fan,

Your Season-Long NBA League Pass subscription will renew for the 2023-24 NBA season on or around September 15, 2023. Your payment method on file will be charged USD 99.99 at that time.
this is a bargain compared to previous years. Finally commensurate of the quality of product, and great for me as I am out of market. .

and given how we'll likely have 0 national tv games, it's gonna absolutely be worth it for me.

I dunno. You mentioned 36-yo Chris Paul; I personally don't believe he was a top-40 player last year. Dame in 3 years being on Paul's level now feels pretty reasonable to me.
There is nothing reasonable about the end of a guy's playing days. Many great players were done prior to age 33. Sometimes the end is gradual while other times it's a cliff. What ends many careers is the gradual wearing away of cartilage in knees. Everything is fine until the day arrives when you've worn most of it away. There is no surgery or medical procedure that reverses matters. It's just over.

That would be nice, if it worked for Blazer games.
Pay for a VPN, like NordVPN, which you can get for $3 a month if you pay for 2 years.
If you are a season ticket holder, I think you should get League Pass premium for free, which makes getting a VPN a no-brainer.
Using a PC may work better than other devices, since other devices require using the NBA app, which can be buggy.

The NBA wants everyone to see Dame destroy us.
Nobody rooting for a different Eastern Conference team will want to see Miami win.
The Heat barely made the playoffs last season, and one loss could be the difference for another team making or missing the post-season in 2024.

If you want a better bargain? You can opt out. I paid for it last year. This year i cancelled. When i cancelled they asked me to stay and offered 20% off. So essentially $80 for the year. They also gave me the option for monthly which I'm considering for the tournament month and maybe March or April?

I have felt, for quite some time now, that there are just too many games and I do not watch enough of them, even tho I had the league pass last year, I preferred to watch a highlight package of a game in many cases. So, I just canceled it.

Too many games, NBA. I understand why you do it, but I think you have too much content out now that some paying customers (like myself) are tapping out.

If NBA league pass had the Blazers games I would get it and happily cancel my cable.

Good tip. I'll check it out. Did you email or call?

They do. Every single one of them.
Just have to use a VPN to bypass the area blackout restrictions.
Not every game if you want to watch them live.

“Games broadcast on ESPN, ABC, TNT and NBA TV will not be available to watch live on NBA League Pass. You can listen to a live radio broadcast or watch an archive of these games 3 hours after broadcast.”

I can listen to Travis and Michael call the games for free online radio feed and watch the condensed game for free later on streams .I don't see any advantage to League Pass unless you enjoy non Blazer games which I don't. I only follow Blazer games. I'll watch the TNT games online but I don't watch games on TV at all. No cable at my house, just internet and rabbit ears that'll only pick up NBC, CBS and PBS if I need to check the local news or something. It's very rare we ever turn on TV stations unless there's local news about fires or emergencies..

They aren't blacked out if you are watching from "Mexico" or "India"...

I'm guessing this is one of the biggest days of your year given you find out where you'll be for the next season week to week
My wife gets the schedule and plans our next 6 months. Kinda weird, but we're used to it. Haven't even looked at the schedule other than where we'll be on thanksgiving and christmas and any conflicts with my daughters soccer schedule.

Yeah I'd be much more interested in games if there were just two of them a week. One weekend game and one weekday game. 82 is way to many games. NFL has 17 games and way more revenue, each game matters a ton. It would take the NBA some time to maximize such a change, but they are losing a lot of money having 82 games.

Think of it another way, would the NBA be better having 120 games a year? No way. If they had 50 games a year nobody would be suggesting they go to 82. They just gave stayed at 82 since that was history. But the 82 games started when guys were on commercial flights with 9 teams in the league, little defense or effort or intensity compared to today's league, and many players smoked cigarettes. It's stupid to stick with the same schedule as 80+ years ago.

The only reason NFLs season means anything is because they can't make these people play more than once a week without diluting the product (which is awful, no matter what the ratings say). But, even though they know that, they will keep upping the games, upping the amount. Thursday night games after a Sunday night game. Soon most teams will be doing 2 a week. Within 20 years. They will try to dominate another day on the calendar, it's just a matter of time.

Bad assumption there. College football drives the wreck known as the NCAA, not college basketball with 2-3x the number of games. The sport of football simply has way more spectator appeal, and much more economic impact (think tailgating). The same goes with the NFL vs NBA. The number of games isn't a direct factor in that.
