I don't think it's a bad trade, because I don't think the Mavs really gave up much to get him, but I don't think he's going to make them the contender that a lot of people seem to think they will become.

Rondo getting lots of All Star votes. Oh boy. They should pick all point guards for the reserves.

A sidestep is a negative move with how it would affect chemistry. We should only expect a trade that is an obvious upgrade or for Claver/picks.

They were a contender before they got him bro. With the right matchups any western playoff team can get to the finals where they will have more experience than whoever made it out of the east.

GS, MEM, POR, HOU, DAL, SAS, OKC, LAC

All of the above teams are contenders in my book.

I didn't say they weren't a contender. I said I don't think Rondo makes them the contender that some people think they will be.

I haven't paid attention to any sports media. Are they acting like they are a few months from kicking it with Larry?

WOW!!! Trade is huge! Rondo will take the Mavs sooooooooooooo much better.

Pelicans down 5 to houston after 3. I won't get my hopes up because it seems like you cannot count on anyone to upset the top teams in the west

As long as Dallas stays healthy I think this trade pushes them into having HCA in the playoffs, Easily.

Sullinger/Olynyk/Wright

The guy to try to pry away is Wright.

Give them our 2015 first.

For the past four seasons Wright has posted at least a 20 PER.

This season he is putting up a ridiculous 26 PER with a DRtg of 98.

Along with Monroe, Wright is a needle mover.

I agree

Simmons seems pissed.

I don't think he was. Maybe a little that no one offered Boston anything better, but Rondo was leaving after this season and this way they are guaranteed to suck and get more young picks. The Celtics are years away from being contenders. This next draft is huge for them.

What would it take to get Green/Wright?

Too expensive.

Green's deal is big and has one more year left. Capspace this summer is key and Wright expires too.

Right now they have won 70 percent of their games. Before Rondo. Lets see what they end up at. They have been clutch in close games with Monta taking over games. Lets see if that continues. Their chemistry has been great all year too. Lets see if that continues. In the immortal words of Billy Joel......
You may be right / I may be crazy / But it just may be a lunatic.........

So who do we root for thunder or warriors?

That's a tough one.

The Thunder are on a current 7-game win streak and would be 13-13 with a win against the Warriors.

However, the Warriors have the best record in the west.

First and foremost, our goal for the Blazers is making the playoffs. With that in mind, I want the Thunder to lose and root for the Warriors in this game.

Definitely rooting for the Warriors. Fair chance no one wants to face the 8 seed. Grow that division lead!
