That's regular season Aldridge. Warriors can't guard playoffs Aldridge.

How do you know that when there's no stats against the warriors in the playoffs with Aldridge? How do WE know we're getting that aldridge? We can't assume that every playoff we're gonna get that from LA. That's just setting yourself up for disappointment.

They're not built for playoffs so expect them to disappear in early May.

They have a better record against the west than we do, so we must really not be ready for the playoffs.

So... about Stephen Curry... and 51 points... Yeah, he sucks. Horrible player.

These procedures are just delaying the inevitable: microfracture.

Bone-on-bone doesn't get better.

It's not bone-on-bone though. He could have played on it (and was) and decided that it would be better to see what he could do about his sore knee now. This is from his doctor by the way... "Howard was playing through the pain and would have kept playing, he was eventually on board with this recommendation...Edema on bone caused pain. Primary treatment is rest....not a big deal." the medical people around Dwight don't really seemed to be all that concerned.

He made no impact for Lakers. They were awful most of the season and in the playoffs, he couldn't muster one win for them. In last year's playoffs, he put up sweet numbers but again, his team couldn't get out of first round. I wouldn't trade Meyers Leonard for Dwight Howard.

Yeah, Dwight Howard wasn't the reason the Rockets lost in the first round. Harden had more to do with that...oh and Parsons playing no defense and Lin's wild play. Dwight Howard has more playoff success than the guys on your team. So not sure what you're talking about, I guess this is like your "Rockets falling down the standings." thing.

To be fair, Dorrell Wright does have a ring.

:ghoti:

The Warriors biggest slight is their second unit. They can score, but the offense doesn't run anywhere near as smoothly, a lot of possessions end with contested jump shots.. It has been going on all year and is hurting them right now.

Huh.... This sounds eerily familiar to another team we know and love..... lol.

And yes, the Splash brothers are head and shoulders above the Rain Bros. hurts to say it, but their coach is just putting them in a much better position to do what they do best.

Well that, and the fact that they simply do what they do best better than our bros do what they do best.

As a Blazer fan, you should know regular season records don't mean shit in the playoffs. Houston had our lunch last season, had a better record at home, better against the west, and a better offense. We should have swept them, but we won anyway 4-2.

Then we looked dominant against the Spurs in the regular season, yet they almost swept us.

I would recommend you go back in this forum when Roy started having problems. Everything you are saying now is what we were saying then. It's sad news, but it's the truth. This is the start of the degenerative disease. The symptoms are exactly the same. Also, Roy came back many times after injections. It's not this season you will have to worry about. It's the next

Dwight will this season. His dominance is not there. I suspect he will have a monster game maybe once in a series and then fade. We've seen this before bro

I hear what you're saying, but it was just way too convenient. :)

Not trying to be an ass but prepare man. The next couple seasons could be VERY rough for Howard. Back+Knee for a center who relies a lot on athleticism and burst to be effective, this could get worse and really hope I'm wrong because after Roy I don't wanna see another really good player go down like that.

Maybe, but I would not compare his situation with Roy's because it was based on cartilage damage, which according to his doctor he really doesn't have. That's the main difference here, if he had serious cartilage damage then his doctor would have very likely just suggested the surgery instead.

But it really wasn't... Doesn't this sound eerie familiar?

Brandon Roy has one of the sadder stories in recent memory as far as injuries are concerned. The former Trailblazer was slowly developing into a premier player and arguably one of the best shooting guards in the league by his fourth year, but a slow degeneration of his knees led to his premature retirement. Roy had arthroscopic surgery on both knees and even tried the same platelet treatment Kobe received in Germany. He then attempted a comeback, but he just wasn't what he used to be and was waived shortly thereafter.

This is exactly what Howard is facing now.

Yep like Jordan, kobe, kg, carter and dr j. They had some very short careers
I could make a list a lot longer of players who blew out their knees slamming dunks but you're right, there are exceptions to the norm. Tim Duncan would be up at the top of that list.

Like Shaun Livingston? OHHHHHHH #Thecomeback

Seriously though I'm very glad Livingston was able to come back from that injury.

Speaking of Livingston.. He is putting up 6/3/2 and is making like ~6mil. The Warriors bench is HELLA expensive with Lee, Iggy and Livingston.

We beat the Mavs by 21. Not impressed with Warriors tonight. Warriors can't play D.

Umm...aren't the Warriors the #1 D in the league right now? I believe they were top 5 last year, too.

I don't get why people think they are still a run and gun, no defense team.

And understanding that you are a man that believes that you can flip a coin and it will always have a 50/50 chance of landing on heads, I would assume that you can understand that giving me that list doesn't mean shit right? If a player can dunk over fools for 14 years, he can dunk over fools for 14 years.

Don't mind kingspeed. He will hyperbole any argument off of 1 game. Yes, the Warriors are legit. I'm still a little concerned with how their jump shooting will work in the playoffs though. If their shot is on, then I don't see a team able to stop them. Portland has the best chance though, but I wouldn't bet the house on it

I'd say Memphis or San Antonio have the best chance against them, we just aren't healthy enough plus we don't have enough dogs (even at full health) at the moment to beat them in a 7 game series.

I feel like an ass for doubting GS before the season.

I actually think the Warriors should try to avoid the Thunder if they make it into #8..That could be very interesting, the Thunder match up well against the Dubs.

apparently you've never seen a double headed coin mags, although giving you a list of short career players that were highlight reel guys doesn't mean shit...well, that's a pretty shallow argument my friend. For the record I've read all of your lists and try to give them the benefit of the doubt. Sorry my views are so easily disgarded. I'll add that you could look at MJ's Wizard season and see him bagged in ice on the bench, or Patrick Ewings...the list goes on but probably doesn't mean shit..because it wasn't intended to mean shit. It's my opinion. I'd venture to say dunking has led to more injury than any basketball play in the books. Greg Oden comes to mind.

The small example is exactly that... Just because you could be able to show millions of players that have short nba careers, doesn't prove that Jordan, Kobe or anyone else that had long NBA careers. And this most certainly doesn't support that Dame would have a short career being a highlight reel either.

That's regular season Aldridge. Warriors can't guard playoffs Aldridge.
PLease correct me if I'm wrong because I dont know where to find the stats but isn't Draymond green one of the best individual defenders in the league. And based simply on watching the games, he seems to be able to overcome the height difference he often faces by not letting bigs establish position and he is quick enough to deny or at least disrupt entry passes, though Aldridge seems to play more out of the high post so it would probably be bogut guarding him and, again, he is a great individual defender.

It's weird how you say, "Don't have enough dogs". When has the NBA playoffs proven that a team with the deepest bench wins? We know the rarity of this. The true champions are ones with superstars that can lead their team to victory when times are tough. The clutch players I guess.

Now this doesn't mean that GS is out because I think Klay and Curry can be very clutch, but they haven't in the playoffs yet... <--- They can this season though.

So I'm sorry that I am not a 100% believer in their playoff success yet. I've seen many playoff games where the team that was soon dominant during the regular season, either lost in the first or second round to the more experienced half court team. And remember the Sonics had a 64 or something record, one of the best defenses in the league and a very deep bench, yet they lost in the first round to the Nuggets then the Lakers the next season.
