Cutting victor and signing Tayshaun Prince would be almost like having nothing to loose and everything to gain.

Victor Claver is a pawn, and Tayshaun Prince is the other side of the board.

Plus man it's Tayshaun Prince.

A full THREE games behind Portland who has been suffering from tons of injuries. Houston is only 6-4 in last 10. Their win% with Smith is worse than their win% without Smith. This is the TRUTH. Meanwhile, Pistons are 9-1.

Wow 3 games...Injuries? Did you miss the part of the season where the Rockets were down to 8 players at times and playing dleague players major minutes? Even starting them? When Harden carried the team to wins so much so that people think the team is better without Dwight? Missed that part? Rockets have been the most injury plagued team outside of the Thunder and Pacers this year, we were missing three starters (including Dwight) for a while and were lucky that Donatas Motiejunas decided that this year would be his break out year. Rockets are healthy now but they have been in this #3 spot for most of the season, at least give them credit for that.

Why do you continue to bring up the Pistons being 9-1? They are not the alternate universe version of our team, if they go 9-1 the Rockets then don't go 1-9. Their 9-1 is completely...completely irrelevant to the Rockets record. Not sure why it is even bought up. It is relevant to Josh Smith but not to the Rockets.

Math lesson for Superbeard

Rockets without Josh Smith: 20-7 (.740)
Rockets with Josh Smith: 6-4 (.600)

Checkmate.

Sample size man. You are comparing 27 games to 10 and find nothing wrong with that. At least fonz and blazersducksfan are saying the record is the reason, it's legit. You want to use that reason? Well then, the Rockets only ost 4 games with Smith. Checkmate. (It's actually more than that, 6-4 is just their previous 10 game record...)

When the Rockets first got Josh Smith they did not have a easy schedule, played some tough teams while trying to adjust with new players and it didn't turn out well. Now they had a chance to realize Smith should come off the bench and regroup against lesser teams (teams they all put away quite easily) and we will see where they are at with this upcoming schedule. I even said then that the reason the Rockets were 4-6 or whatever the record was was simply because of the schedule. They stayed afloat though as you can see, remained close enough through the poor stretch and bump up in schedule to get back up to the 3 spot.

But a week ago you were saying that the Rockets would fall down and even out of the playoffs and yet again...here they are, 3rd in the conference and 4th in NBA total. They moved up and Smith has been good coming off the bench, we will see how they will do with the upcoming schedule again, that's fair.

Superbeard, where to start? Rockets have had Smith for 10 games. It's not more than that. We have had more injuries to our best players. Batum and Aldridge have missed several games. Robin Lopez has missed 13 games. Freeland, Crabbe, CJ, and Kaman have also missed games. And we are still 30-8. I love that you blame the schedule on the Rockets' slide, lol. The Pelicans, hahaha. We own those guys.

I just looked it up. Dwight only missed 12 games. Lopez 13 and counting. Aldridge is our top scorer and he missed 4 games during a tough road trip. Also, Batum missed 6 games.

Smith has not been good coming off the bench. He still thinks he's a three point shooter. If that continues, Rockets will lose in playoffs. If they get there.

And the reason the Rockets had to play dleague players major minutes is because they have no depth.

Then again, this is all that matters. When the money's on the table....

I'm sure Jeff Green would be untouchable if he was on the Blazers team.

What would make him untouchable? 34% 3pt shooting? 13.2 career PER? Career 108 Drtg? Or just your unrealistic misperception of your fellow fans?

No way! Olshey missed the boat on this one. He should have gone hard after Jeff Green so we could have packaged him with Damian Lillard for Mike Conley.

Backup SF might be our biggest need (if not then it is backup SG).... Prince is a shell of his former self though.

?

Prince's numbers this year aren't bad and he WAS on a good team...

7.3 PPG / 3.2 RPG / 1.4 APG on .410/.455/.833

Plus he is a GREAT locker room guy.
And was playing 24 minutes a game!!!! 24!!!! I don't know if KS doesn't follow other teams or what, but imagine his production without tired legs. Dude could be a big time lock down defender!

Yeah, plus he is a vet so you KNOW he is gonna give it his all in the playoffs so he can go out on top.

I'd make a move on Prince over Chandler. The price would be much lower because we could waive Barton and Claver and end up with Oneal and Prince... 2 legitimate veterans for pieces who have struggled to prove their worth. That is a massive win if we could pull it off.
