It was only a matter of time before GS became cocky and irritating, but I would still root for them over SA, OKC, Clippers, Houston, Cleveland, Dallas, Lakers.........

I just don't see who he would play over. He is shooting 37% from the field. This is 13th year. He can still shoot a wide open 3, but that is about it. He is not better than Crabbe or Henderson or CJ. I guess he would be a decent insurance policy if there was an injury.

My thinking is he could be a situational player. Say we really need a bucket, we could but a lineup put like Dame-CJ-Martin-Crabbe-Leonard that's hard to guard for a possession.

Yeah but then you are sitting someone like Henderson for a player who just came to your team. Henderson right now is better in that scenario. Plus if you are Neil and if you want to resign Hendo next year, you are screwing yourself. I think Bob Whitsitt might agree with the addition, but I would only do it for depth purposes. (In case someone got hurt.)

For Martin to be effective in that scenario, he would need to get minutes so he is not coming off the bench cold. And right now at this stage of his career, I just don't think he is better than what we have.
 
Gonna be a big Kings fan for the next couple days. They play Memphis tonight and visit Dallas tomorrow. Would be nice if they could win (at least) one of those two games.
 
I don't want K Mart on this team. I know he plays (played) on a bad T-Wolves team, but that dude is a major ball hog. Or a rhythm scorer, whatever you want to call guys like him who need plenty of shots to be effective. I'm a little surprised he wanted out of Minnesota where he had the all clear to take as many shots as he wanted with the second team. He'll probably sign with the Spurs and they'll turn him into a highly productive player because they do that with everyone. But to play him in Portland over a young guy who fits the offense better wouldn't make sense.
 
Uh-oh--D'Angelo Russell is starting to figure out the NBA game. Just noticed that his 3 point percentage has gone up every month, from .250 in October and .321 in November, to .462 last month, and 8-12 (0.667) last night.
 
After having a mostly horrible season...since we've been tied with Dallas, every win we get Wes has answered with a big game...think he's really trying to stay ahead of his old team which is so Wes like

The guy looks like hes going to be an arrogant SOB as well. I seen players kill waaaay more than him who celebrate less than he does..

Jazz vs Toronto is big tonight. Toronto is our next opponent and I do believe they could have added motivation to win coming off a loss vs Utah. Then of course there is the seeding...
 
I won't be surprised if Utah misses the playoffs.

Chokelahoma loses to the Clippers. With this meltdown and the one against the Warriors, the Blunders are becoming quite the choke artists.
 
That ref should be fired. His call appears to be that Jrue moved under El Floppo, while El Floppo WAS ON TOP OF HIM. SMH. Apparently everything was fine as long as Jrue was moving forward while Floppo was riding him like a pony, but as soon as Jrue backed up a couple of steps, that's a foul on the pony. SMH
