Not saying your sources are bad but Dallas is famous for having best laid plans and having them completely shatter. DeAndre Jordan, Kyle Lowry, the list goes on.

Throwing the player capital out the door, Dallas blew a first and two seconds on Kyrie. That indicates they’re primarily interested in bringing back Kyrie.

If they miss on Kyrie, it might be too late to lock in Grant by the time they’re moved on to backup options…

True but if the Mavs continue to play poorly and miss the playoffs, will Kyrie want to go back? Probably just so he can get the max. But that is why I was wondering about sign and trade options.

Kyrie is going to go to the team that pays him the most money. Just like Jerami Grant.

Wow Mavs are really bad. And their pick goes to the Knicks if it's not a top 10 pick. They might miss the Playoffs and don't even have their first

Enjoying the Mavs implosion a whole lot more than the Blazers implosion.

Speaking of Dallas, I heard from a friend who claims to have a source that says the Mavericks feel confident about landing Grant as a free agent. I did find it odd that out of the blue, he would text me about this. Why would Grant, of all players, be someone Cuban is targeting? Being a Syracuse alum (like Jerami) my friend follows him closely. (He is a Celtics fan, not a Mavs fan)

Personally, I think that whoever pays Grant the most is where he will end up. But I can't help but wonder if there are any sign-and-trade options with Dallas. Of course, if they lose Kyrie they could have cap space to sign him outright.

If it's true that they're targeting Grant, that seems to be a good sign that he's not worth keeping. Dallas fucks things up all the time.

NY needs to go on a winning streak. They have lost 3 in a row now. (4-6 in their last 10)
They have an easy schedule coming up but so do the 2 teams right behind them. I would be happy if they ended in 6th, but 7th on the other hand is too risky for us.

Why would the Mavs trade Luka and *not* demand the 1st pick?? That rocket fan is delusional.
Rockets ain't giving up Wemby for Fat Luka. Yes, he's likely delusional, but Mavs are delusional if they demand this year's #1 from any team.

so then like most trade scenarios fans come up with, it's absolutely not going to happen.

Are the Lakers supposed to be good now with Lebron?
They're down by 20 at home to the Bulls.

For some reason DLo didn’t play and the box score says it was a DNPCD. I think he’s their third best player, so that was weird.

From my pov they’re a really good team and could but won’t necessarily beat any team in the league in a seven game if they’re rotation is DLo, Beasley, Vando, LeBron, AD, Reeves, Schroder, Brown, Walker and Rui. It’s just that LeBron hasn’t played with a bunch of those guys yet. We’ll see what happens if they mesh and stay healthy.

One weird thing from today’s game is that while they’ve been winning more lately AD has been dominating and today he only took 8 shots in 36 minutes 6 of which he made.

have a real hard time seeing the Mavs having the cap-space to land Grant. They have 109M in guaranteed contracts and the cap-holds for Kyrie (46M), Christian Wood (22M), and Dwight Powell (16.5M). And they'd have either a 4M charge for a draft pick or a 1M roster charge

Can't believe they'd renounce rights to Kyrie, Wood, & Powell just to sign Grant

and if they lose all three but still have their draft pick, with 3 roster charges they'd probably have less than 20M in space. Portland would happily top that by a couple of million

Doubly delusional. Wonder if they go get a lottery ticket and just expect the top prize.

Sorta wish they'd take him, really do not want to overpay him after he turned down 4 yrs at 112 mil.

Blazers need to go after Jaylen Brown then start Shaedon. Let Simons be our 6th man

KD is bothered by it because he fears it to be true. If Barkley told him he was 5ft2 with red hair and freckles he would die laughing because there is no shred of truth to it.
