Brooklyn is gonna get KD and Kyrie. They’ll let Russell go. Knicks take another L.

Just saw this... FUCK....

I wanted Prince.
Not sure where you fall on Stephen A Smith, I know he evokes quite different feelings for different people, but I did hear him say a few days ago that Brooklyn told him they had already gotten affirmation that Kyrie wanted to go there.

When people talk about trading a pick to give up salary look at what Brooklyn just had to give up to clear Crabbe's contract. Are two 1sts worth getting rid of ET if we get a Prince type player back in the deal?

I'd trade ET the 25 and next year's pick (lottery protected) for Prince.

I think Olshey wants Porter so we will see how that works out getting closer to the draft.

Two firsts to offload 18 million.

That gives me no hope that the Blazers can offload Turner with the 25....

You had hope that the blazers would dump Turners entire contract?

Well 25 has less value than 17 and our pick next year is probably not worth as much as Brooklyn's either (depending on who they land this summer).
It's still about equivalent to what they gave up. Would I throw in a second rounder or something yeah I would...

You guys realize Brooklyn did that in order to get an additional max slot and you want us to trade multiple assets to get rid of Turner just because you hate him, as we get very little extra benefit aside from maybe being able to keep one of Kanter or Hood?

I think swapping Kyrie for Russell will not work out like they hope. I personally don't think the gap between the two is that much. Kyrie is a bit over-rated.
a bit???? You win the understatement award for the day. :)
I kid, but I'm really not huge on Kyrie, honestly would probably rather have Russell...

Yep. After the deadline passes, we can cut him. Until then, people will have an unrealistic hope that we can trade him (for a reasonable price).
Although... I just had a thought.

Would Atlanta trade Crabbe for ET? I don't think they envision Crabbe being there long term....

ET will have value at the deadline.

That's the beauty of it now. If he can be moved in the off season or the deadline great, if not, he then expires. We have a forum that contains wannabe GM's that need instant gratification and have shown very little patience. These same people were touting the Pelicans after last year about how much better off they are than us and look where they are at now.

and why would cutting him benefit the team? That would be a stupid move. He's not a problem player that hurts chemistry and brings the locker room down and from reports he is a good glue guy on the court and in the locker room. You don't think players don't notice those sort of things and consider it when going to a team?
