Last year I thought Blazers should consider trading CJ for Porzingis, who was actually having a nice offensive year. Now he has developed his defensive game also, reported to have top stats for protecting the rim. Still happy with what we got for CJ. Still maybe we could have got a draft pick back from Dallas that could have got Grant? They weren't high on Porzingis at the time and gaqve him up for Dinwiddie and a way overpaid Bertans.

Can never count on him being healthy is a main reason he isn’t lauded much.

I actually appreciate what Beverley did. It’s old school. Sticking up for your teammates. Builds unity when you know your guys got your back no matter what.

PS I hate the Lakers and think Beverley overall is a chump.

Ditto.

Ayton didn't get a tech? He walked over and kicked the dude and stood over him.

Also, what are those jerseys the Suns are wearing? Terrible.

Yeah, Reaves got hit in the nose and after Booker taunts him then you got Ayton doing the same with no reason to remain down by Reaves. If someone did that to one of our players I’d hope that our players would do the same and I’m sure they would.

It was bush league by Phoenix

Then we agree on one thing.

Anyone did this to us and perhaps it’s not as easily appreciated. I can see Nurk doing what PHX did to someone. Happens more often than you’d think, players taunting others. It’s just the aftermath, or reaction to it which makes it noticeable. Like Shaq and Dudley.

Yes, Pat Bev is a chump.

Me too. I can't stand Beverly or his antics, but he did the right thing there.

He could have seriously injured Ayton, hard disagree.

Seriously injured him? I doubt it. Beverly is a lot smaller than Ayton. Ayton sold it a bit. He is injury prone so you have that. Reeves definitely could have got stepped or fallen on.

Yes he could have seriously injured him. Size doesnt matter when you are pushed over a leg tripping you upcausing you to fall akwardly, aNd at his size, i find it hard to say “doubt he gets injured”?

i also see no kick. Ive watched it ten times. He takes two steps and seemed to toe kick the ground with his left foot in(a perceived) attempt to NOT kick him.
How you see ayton kicking is blowing my mind… and eyeballs…

I also hard disagree. I like our guys to stick up for one another but this is over the top. Ayton wasn't the one who committed the foul.
No place for this crap in real life or in basketball…
An injury can cost a player millions of dollars.

Which makes sense. Protect your team. Laker's twitter is definitely supporting it.
Ayton was standing over his teammate talking shit…. I hate Beverly, but props to him for doing this.
My son got drilled in a game his junior season, linebacker stood over him like this. Huge fight broke out.

I didn't say anywhere that what Ayton did was okay. I think what Beverly did was cheap. That's all. Good teammate, sure. Still cheap in my opinion.

Ya can't blindside a guy. Do it face to face. Beverly is a pussy that is why he does it blindside. Ayton got a T, Booger got a flagrant. NOBODY stepped over Reeves. Beverly is shooting 26% this year. He has to do this shit to stay relevant. I would have no problem with a blazer doing it face to face. square up.

Fair enough. Getting in his face should have sufficed.

He makes a kicking motion just before he gets shoved. Very unnecessary in itself.

Ayton had no reason to walk over to Reaves and stand over him. He put himself in that situation.

It looked to me like he took a step forward at the same time Reaves was turning over, which made his foot ever so lightly contact Reaves.

It happens quickly. Hard to see exactly. You may be right. Again, he had no reason to be standing over Reaves and being in his space like that.

Totally agree he shouldn't have been in his space. I mean, someone could try to speculate that he was making sure Reaves was OK, but opponents almost never do that.

Yeah, he could have been but I don't think so. Its likely if he was just asking if he was ok, Beverly would have heard that. Maybe. Also, Ayton got a tech so I'm guessing he wasn't an innocent party.
