That was a crazy stat that they just showed in the Mavs/Sixers game. The last 6 teams to lose by 50 or more points have won the re-match and of course the Sixers are doing their darndest to break that streak tonight.

How? How can anyone honestly say that James Harden is enjoyable to watch? It's the same damn drive to the lane and flop around every time. Even if you are a Rockets fan how can that be fun to watch?

Not really at all. Rockets fans actually watch him every night and probably know more about Harden then the casual fan does.

He crosses guys up on the regular and drains threes in the eye on the regular as well. Not only that he gets rebounds and assists and fills the stat sheet up. Actually, him, Anthony Davis and Lebron James are top 3 in total points, rebounds, assists...so yeah...his game is more than just "Flopping"

Do you remember that time Parsons went looking for the clutchfans?

He almost found you guys.

The sad thing is that I honestly agree that his game has more layers than that but to me all that really says is that is just how bad the flopping comes across. He doesn't need that to be a great player because of the other things that he can do on the court. I guess you are OK with it based upon your previous posts but it would drive me crazy if I was a Rockets fan. It's just not part of the game that I like to see on that frequent of a basis. But to each their own I guess.

And that's real talk. No Portland fan would tolerate such a flopper

Sorry man, I don't see driving the lane as flopping. Neither do many in the NBA, Doc Rivers said he respects how often he gets to the line because he's strong enough to do it.

That's the truth of it. Any player that can drive the lane at ease gets to the line a lot...Kobe in his prime, Jordan, Bron...you can look at the numbers yourself.

If it was so easy then why don't more players do it? Not everyone has Harden's first step or his handles.

Rockets fans don't mind it because he's always driving to the lane which gets him fouled

Harden = glorified Corey Maggette

It baffles me why he gets on All NBA teams.

Case in point is Rasheed Wallace. Extremely talented player and I rooted for him as a Blazer but some of his poorly timed technicals would drive even the most die hard Blazers fan nuts. Every player gets technicals at some point just like every player flops to a certain extent. There is a time and place for both. But abusing those things is lazy and disrespectful to the game in my opinion.

No one said a thing when Lebron went to line like 17+ times a night or two ago lol.

LeBron usually does get legit contact though because of his size you almost have to foul him. Of course he flops too but Harden does his trademark whiplash and gets calls every single game which is so frustrating for every other team in the NBA.

I could care less what the NBA thinks. They are a business trying to make money. And I could give 2 shits what Doc thinks. I'm talking about a real NBA fan and a real fan of the team.

And it's not about driving to the lane. I'm not stupid. It's the way he does and you know it whether you will admit it or not.

I see a mix between Manu and Reggie Miller (both great floppers who could shoot.)

You ever see Manu and Reggie barrel head-first into the lane in hopes of just getting contact?

Those two might flop, but they have very skilled games and is/was a joy to watch. Harden is the exact opposite. Out of all the playoff teams, I'd venture that HOU is the least watched on league pass because of how boring their team is due to all these foul shots and ugly games.

Harden also gets legit contact too, you also have to foul Harden or he will just score a layup on you. It works the same with him, this is why Harden also gets a lot of and 1s because he doesn't go in looking to flop...he goes in looking to score and it happens that he drives holding his arms out in front of him and players always slap his arms.

That's really the key to me, it's ugly to watch. Even if I was a fan of the team its like watching a high school basketball team hold the ball for 6 minutes straight to win the game. Yeah you won but geez do you really feel good about that?

Numbers disagree with you, Harden goes to the line about the same as any guy who drives the lane at ease does.

Go ahead and talk to any REAL fan of the rockets, go to a rocket forum and tell them how much Harden flops and they will all tell you the same thing I am telling you. They will even give you video evidence. He gets legit fouls.

Manu does for sure. Well, he used to.

I don't think that's a basketball move, it's fishing for contact. Just my opinion though.

Like I said, to each their own and thank you for reminding me why I am a Blazers fan.

How is it not a basketball move though? I don't understand that, it's a advantage he has because of his handle on the ball and his ability to take contact while doing this. It's not some big advantage he has that is cheating and can't be stopped.

As the great Phil Jackson once said. "Basketball is about penetration." Stop that and you've stopped half of his offense ability. As it happens, Harden has great handles and a great first step, give him too much room and he'll drain the shot and get up on him and he can drive right by you. Stop his penetration and you've halfway won the battle against him, he's not cheating the game.

How could another wannabe player not envy Harden?! He's so good at acting, that he could teach "how to's" when he retires.

First off, quit comparing Harden to Jordan. Seriously, shut up with that shit.

In this list, Harden's 2013-14 ranks a measly 62nd among the best seasons for players who get fouled a lot (and shoot well enough that it's not hack a whoever). But his FTA's per game is 38th. The discrepency between 38th in FTAs per game and 62nd in Value over Replacement Player is why people call him a flopper. He's not so good you have to foul him. He's just good enough to fool people who should know better into calling fouls anyway.
