OFFICIAL AROUND THE NBA: OCTOBER 2023

Here's Chet. Both Chet and Wemby have good spin moves.

Both players played very good last night but here the thing number 1 preseason game and number 2 there not know film on either one against NBA players. I think both will be successful due they both got skills. I think players going to try to body up on both players when they got ball on the outside due there dangerous when there space to put the ball on the floor so don't be surprised if you see defenders start doing that to both players.

I dare you to post that on Blazers Edge.

There's a ZC cult over there just waiting to ravage anyone who thinks lottery bust Blazers are not the best idea in the history of the NBA.

PORTLAND HAS ALWAYS MADE THE VERY BEST DECISIONS IN THE DRAFT.

even Sam Bowie had a much coveted dynamic skillset which far exceeded Michael Jordan.
Zach will be find due he is stronger now then he was last year. Yes Holgrem had good night against him and the spin move caught Zach off guard but I see Zach have better performance against him next meeting. Zach offense 15 points 5 rebounds but the way the teams shots not a lot rebounds to get but 5 assists and some was some pretty assists and just 1 turnover. Offensely he was fine 1-4 not good on 3 point shot but that will come around pretty soon because 3-4 in there scrimmage the other day.

Ant and Grant for Simmons/Clowney/Whitehead and picks sounds great for both the win-now Nets and these rebuilding Blazers
I'd rather keep Grant & Ant, ignore them playing the league's worst defense. Then bench them for maximum ping pong balls after the All-star break. It works. The #3 pick Scoot Henderson is a significant achievement.

Be it as it may, there are still questions about work ethic and interest, the same questions that are asked about Simmons - until these questions are answered, probably makes sense to limit the number of players you have these questions about on the same team
I'll take Ayton and the "questions" about him 365 days a year over our last center.

Brandon Miller is just going thru the motions.
I don’t know why but I really get off on the schadenfreude of a fanbase lamenting their pick for a guy that we ended up with.

I want Scoot to light it up tonight.

I see Toronto losing OG for nothing because that GM is a fool. Once he realizes OG is leaving, he won't get near what he could have over the summer. OG will get a max deal, possibly from Portland if he is available.
You had me until the max deal from Portland.

ESPN's top-100 list, 4 Blazers in the 100-51 range.

#89, Robert Williams III
#85, Anfernee Simons
#78, Scoot Henderson
#58, Jerami Grant

I assume Ayton will be in the top-50. I would have thought Brogdan would be 50+, so maybe it's possible he snuck into the top-50?

5-6 players in the top-100, albeit weighted toward the bottom half, with Sharpe being a major wild card this year, bodes well for a rebuilding team. That's more than league average quantity, and supports the notion that we have a well-balanced roster finally.

#'s 50-11:

#49, Deandre Ayton

Brodgon didn't make the cut. He's probably comparable to several of those guys in the mid-90s, so it's not a huge sleight I guess.

So many comments on that tweet saying "That's just a reputation call!" and "Didn't look intentional to me"

He does that shit all the time. Him or anyone else trying to defend it is stupid.

The Spurs new practice facility looks amazing. Ironic that the wooden ceiling is made from wood imported from an Oregon forest.

The Blazers need an update to the Moda Center and the practice facility. I’ve been to both the Lakers and Clippers facilities here in LA and both are nice. I’ve been to the Blazers practice facility and it’s super dated compared to other ones in the league.

We need new ownership that is not only willing to spend on the team, but is actually excited and motivated to spend on the team. Phil Knight would definitely be the game changer. I don’t think Jody/Vulcan are the worst owners in the league, they’re just indifferent that only do just enough.

'but we have a new kitchen!' /s

I was going to post that very thing. I know nothing about him, but he is 6'11". Worth a flier? Is anyone familiar with his game at Texas?

Failing in Charlotte isn't necessarily a black mark for me.
