How are they going to adjust to an unblockable shot that goes in very consistently? How are they going to adjust to his length on defense when he can move his feet like that? If you've watched enough of this guy's film, post players that back him down and seem to have great position where they can use the rim to keep him from blocking their shot, still get their shots blocked by those go go gadget arms. Dude is a problem and there will be no adjusting for him. If he stays healthy he's going to dominate this league.Yeah but can he do that after teams scout him and make adjustments?

There's no way that anyone can convince me that the league didn't engineer Wemby to the Spurs.
You think the league wanted a unicorn on the Blazers or Charlotte (or any other teams)?
The worst part of him going there is the insane smugness of Spurs fans comes back in full effect.
I don’t think he would want 14 or 15 man minutes. No, I'd put Camara above them all. Didn't make sense to cut Watford at the time and I'd undo it if I could now. He's better than our 14th/15th man. Although with the blazers rebuilding his cheap contract has less upside here so probably irrelevant either way. It's much more damning on the value we wasted with Murray than the loss of Watford.
I will be shocked if he doesn’t have some kind of injury that causes him to miss significant time in the next few years. There's no way that anyone can convince me that the league didn't engineer Wemby to the Spurs.

I just can’t figure out why the league doesn’t realize that the populations of New York and LA are a bit greater than San Antonio.
Agreed. Keeping him would have cost us nothing more than a salary. And his defense and intensity are an absolute game changer.I knew Zach would be fine. I thought it was a HUGE mistake when we dumped him.
And just how well are the Knicks run compared to the Spurs? And when exactly did the Lakers and Knicks get into the lottery last season?
What, you don’t think that the league could give the Knicks or Lakers a heads up? Your guys look really tired. You should rest them up so they’re really charged up for next fall. You know, after the “draft”. Wink, wink.
yeah, the Lakers never benefited from the NBA helping them...
It certainly didn’t hurt the Lakers that they got to shoot 37 free throws compared to a paltry 16 for the Trail Blazers.”
You think the league has more power than individual owners? There's no way that anyone can convince me that the league didn't engineer Wemby to the Spurs.

do they want rob Williams? What assets do they have?
Steven Adams is a big part of their offense.Grizz will have to pick up somebody, that is a pretty significant loss. Adams sets monster picks, has superhuman strength, and is probably the most seasoned vet on the roster.
Didn’t Clarke rupture his achilles?Clarke and a first?

Some people Want the Trail Blazers to be bad.
Robert Williams won't be taking playing time from Scoot or Sharpe.
The problem with trading Williams is we’re going to have to find another backup big, which is already unsteady given Williams’ health. I think I’d rather keep Williams unless it was an overpay like their ‘24 unprotected 1st and ‘26 top 10 protected 1st with Clarke. Otherwise, the upside for us with Williams might be his impact on this team, not his trade value.Clarke and a first?
