The problem with trading Williams is we’re going to have to find another backup big, which is already unsteady given Williams’ health. I think I’d rather keep Williams unless it was an overpay like their ‘24 unprotected 1st and ‘26 top 10 protected 1st with Clarke. Otherwise, the upside for us with Williams might be his impact on this team, not his trade value.
I'd rather go for Aldama he has similar stats, is 3 inches taller and seems to be a stretch PF. Aldama is 22 compared to Clarke at 27. If you get more picks with the other than take whichever one gives you more picks, otherwise I'd prefer Aldama. Also, Aldama improved almost across the board in year two, where as Clarke regressed a bit.

Sure he is somewhat of a risk healthwise, but he is the type of defender we have all been asking for. You either get a young forward for him that is better than anyone we currently have, or you roll the dice on his health. But trading him for a pick would not make me happy.
I think he’s more than somewhat of a health risk. The guy can’t stay healthy. He has barely played during his career. If he’s healthy he’s amazing, but if we could turn him into multiple first rounders…. It might be worth it. I don’t think Memphis will be good long term. I think Ja is going to continue to self destruct. Those picks could be worth a lot.

I think RW3 is a terrible fit for them alongside JJJ. Also they should start by looking for players who can give you 60+ regular season games.

RW3 is frosting for contending teams. Not the cake.

Also looked at the Memphis roster and outside of picks not much other then Clarke and not sure they would want to include him in any deal but Clarke would be intriguing but I think the Blazers would have to give more to get him.

example deal --- MEM --Clarke and Tillman for - PDX - Williams and Murray -- maybe some picks in there not sure from who but I could see an argument for picks to Portland and picks going to Memphis so will leave picks out for now.

Granted this deal would have to wait like another month or so since if I am not mistaken neither Brogs or Williams can be traded with another player for 60 days but that deal would be fair to both sides but I think Memphis would be the one to decline it.

Memphis is a good team, yet they only have one player I would want, and they are not giving us Jaren Jackson.
Too bad Brandon Clarke blew out his Achilles...... I like him as well. I would rather have Rob then draft picks.
But don't you know that they have the ONE player to solve Wembanyama?

im a massive bclarke fan, just love how he plays - plays hard, runs the floor well, great athleticism, trash bucket cleanuper, high fg%, rebounds, plays D and doesnt try to be more than his strengths.

Very quick leaper. I wonder if the injury will hurt that.

So Norman Powell will get more than 20 minutes a night and Robert Covington will get more than 15 minutes a night on a playoff team, we likely won't get the second rounder in 2025 and both Winslow and Johnson have been waived from teams in the last few days.

I like what Joe is doing with the rebuild but anyone who tells me that he did everything he could to build a winner around Dame is either delusional or related to him. The trade for Jerami still doesn't make sense with the obvious youth rebuild but every other move taken to its totality was clearly meant to induce a trade request from the best Blazers player of all time.

It's cool, it's cool. I'm all on board with Scoot, Shaedon and the rest for our youth rebuild but I'll probably always hate Joe just a little bit for forcing Dame out and being two faced to us and the media about it at the same time.

He had to cleanup the mess from the previous administration.

I don't believe Joe intentionally made moves to encourage Dame to ask out when he took over as GM.

I believe he tried his best to build a winner around Dame.

Scoot falling to us changed the ballgame.

What happens if the Trail Blazers don't draft Scoot Henderson, and instead draft Brandon Miller, Amen Thompson, or Ausar Thompson?

What happens if the Blazers draft Victor Wembanyama?

Why did Cronin draft a 22-year-old, now 23 years old, with the 23rd pick if the plan was to go young and draft for potential? That one is a head-scratcher. It only makes sense if the plan was for Dame to stay.

Grizz will have to pick up somebody, that is a pretty significant loss. Adams sets monster picks, has superhuman strength, and is probably the most seasoned vet on the roster.
I'm curious what they'd do

I think it goes back further than that. 2022 draft gave us Sharpe but he was obviously a huge project. Remember they sent dame to that draft. Remember the look on his face as the Blazers got the 7th pick.
