OFFICIAL AROUND THE NBA: OCTOBER 2023

Dude played 14 minutes of the first half but had to sit much of the second half with foul trouble. He picked up his fourth foul less than three minutes into the third quarter and Pop took him out until the beginning of the fourth quarter and then he picked up his fifth foul 30 seconds into the fourth quarter and he gets to play again in the last seven minutes of the game. FOUL TROUBLE.
I've always hated the "sit a player in foul trouble" mentality...even moreso in game 1 of a rebuilding season. Let players play through foul trouble. He played 23 minutes picking up 5 fouls; could he have gotten to 30 without getting number 6? No way to know when they insist on hiding players from difficult situations.

Wasn’t there a coach way back when who bucked this trend? Was it Phil?

Saw on RealGM that someone leaked that Mann was included in the Clippers offers for Lillard. Tried to find it on Yahoo and could only find this.

If the Clippers are really offering Mann, one unprotected pick, one pick swap, plus filler, Philly is really delusional on Harden's value. He only has one year left on his deal, is not aging gracefully, and is not someone you want to give a huge extension to.

The problem (for Philly) is that the Clippers are NOT offering Mann for Harden, whereas they WERE including him in a prospective deal for Jrue Holiday.

Larry Brown used to bench Smits for the rest of the first half if he picked up 2 fouls. No matter the score, situation, or importance of the game. It allowed Smits to play aggressive in the 2nd half without fear of foul trouble. It worked as they reached the ECF in 1994 & 1995.

I believe it was the other way around. Sixers offered Harden for Mann and picks and the Clippers turned them down. Can anyone confirm?

I do not think anything can be confirmed until Harden is actually traded. Until then, seems like the rumors are just that.

What will the average attendance be this year at the Mona/Blazer games?
I'll guess 17K
I realize they will publish inflated numbers...
I have a feeling that you will see attendance drop dramatically over the next 2 years or so. But once they get rolling and become a playoff team attendance will climb.

Yes, Mann is the sticking point - Philly want him included, Clips (currently) refuse. What am I missing about that guy? He seems pretty generic to me.

They’re probably not that excited about adding Harden.

Dame's career high is 20 FTA and 18 FTM. Last night he was 17-17.

It was in response to the franchise record for the bucks. I know he had 20 here. I was just perplexed that the most is 17 for Milwaukee given giannis.
