I know a LOT of people around here love to hate Meyers, and I also know Steven Adams is a much better defender and can take a kick to the nutsack and keep right on playing, but check out these numbers from last season:

Meyers Leonard: 8.4 ppg, 5.1 rpg and 1.5 apg in 21.9 mpg
Steven Adams: 8.0 apg, 6.7 rpg, 0.8 apg in 25.2 mpg

Now check out these numbers:

Meyers Leonard: $41 million over 4 years
Steven Adams: $100 million over 4 years

Again, I acknowledge that Adams is better, but how in the hell do you justify $100 million over 4 years to a guy who should never be anything more than a defensive role player who should never be higher than your 4th or 5th option on offense? That's insane money. Oh well, I guess they have to give it to somebody and they aren't going to attract any top name free agents to Cow Town any time soon. Which is moot at this point after giving these extensiions to Adams and Oladipo.

BNM

Adams: 2.3 DWS | 1.3 DBPM | 2.1 VORP | 3.3 BLK%
MyLo: 1.0 DWS | -1.0 DBPM | 0.2 VORP | 1.2 BLK%

Adams is an emerging offensive talent who is already one of the best defensive bigs in the league.

This isn't a close comparison.

Jeremy Lin would've been a huge lift off our bench. He's turned into a very efficient scorer.

Hindsight you go after Lin over Turner.

Nice to know even BNM goes off the rails sometimes. "Much Better Defender" is one of the biggest understatements I've heard recently. That being said, I do agree with OB that these types of contracts improves Biebs trade value.

Neither are the salaries.

And that was my point. $41 million for 4 years for Leonard doesn't look so out of whack any more.

I kinda feel bad for Nuggets fans. After being up by 8 with the ball with 45 seconds to go, they lose to us.

For an encore, they were up by 6 with 6 minutes left.... and scored only 3 more points for the rest of the game, losing by 3.

What's the opposite of Lillard Time? Mudiay Space?

Lin gets a starting role on a losing team. So he got a few steals, Turner is a much better player with a much higher ceiling
And Biebs (that's how you call him right) hasn't made it to this season yet but when he arrives we'd be that much better

Ummm.... what? He played in the first game at the very least. lol.

Mudiain't Dame!

Makes you wonder why LA paid 64 mil to Mozgov, or WAS paid 64 mil to Mahinmi, or ORL paid 72 mil to Biyombo.

This is gonna seriously deflate Plums' contract next summer. Center market is totally saturated.

I saw Ersan Ilyasova appearing in a boxscore for Philly, and I thought "he's with the Thunder! They must have him confused with Saric." But no - he was traded just hours ago and played immediately. Go figure.

Harden had the first back to back 30+ point, 15+ assist games since Magic Johnson in the 80s. That crazy D'Antoni.... Someone to rival Westbrook for usage% this season.

Meanwhile Anthony Davis had a bad game, so I bet Westbrook, Harden and Durant are 1, 2 and 3 in PER. And Presti is quietly sobbing.

You forgot about Kawhi Leonard who was second in PER to Anthony Davis going into tonight's action.

And, of course, Jake Layman and his 97.3 PER.

Best thing about OKC vs. LAC - one of them has to lose.

Unfortunately, that also means one of them will win.

LOL, Westbrick air balls a 3 that was at least a foot short of the rim.
