Someone who will voice in every game thread this coming year how annoying it is to watch Nards get minutes.

Can I also voice how annoying your annoyance is in every game thread?

J/K, i usually don't participate in the game threads. Too distracting, I'd rather focus on watching the game.

TBH I don't just voice my annoyances with his play.
I also give credit when he plays well for him.

Miami would possibly send Johnson for Anderson and a future 1st (I think it'd have to be 2022 at the earliest?)

James Johnson though? Not happening. He's the heart and soul of that team. If he's available then we BETTER go get him. If Miami's simply looking to shed the final year of his contract, then Turner and future 2nds would be better than Anderson and a future 1st, especially since Miami is in the tax (I guess Houston could offer Anderson and Zhou Qi for Johnson and Waiters, which would save Miami a lot more money, but...) I think Johnson wouuld fit perfectly as the veteran wing with playoff experience that we need, and could replace Turner's playmaking, Ed's hustle, while being able to play the 3 or 4 and defend at a very high level. He'd be switchable with Harkless and Aminu too, allowing us full switchability among the 3-4 spots for almost the entire game.

Lillard (36) / McCollum (12)
McCollum (23) / Curry (25)
Harkless (30) / Johnson (15) / Curry (3)
Johnson (15) / Aminu (25) / Collins (8)
Nurkic (32) / Collins (16)

Lillard 36min / McCollum 35min / Nurkic 32min / Harkless + Johnson 30min / Curry 28min / Aminu 25min / Collins 24min

I like that squad.

Porltand would be very long.
But like you said, I don't think Johnson is on the block.

James Johnson and dion waiters recently deleted all pictures related to the heat off their social media accounts. I’ve always had a soft spot for Johnson. Would like him on Portland. And guess who his agent is? Bartelstein!
Neil's master plan...?

Sadly, I think a Waiters and James Johnson for Anderson and Qi deal makes too much sense. I'm calling it now, it's happening.

It would get Miami out of the luxury tax if Bosh's salary doesn't count towards the cap. If it does, the $5M in savings saves them a TON of luxury tax payment. Miami would also save apx. $29M in 2020-2021 since Johnson and Waiters both have 3 years left compared to Anderson's two. Trading Johnson allows Adebeyo to start at PF, and clears more PT for Winslow at the 4 (since Richardson is likely entrenched as their SF going forward).

As far as Houston goes, they're all-in right now. They're heavily committed to Paul who's aging, so 3 year deals wouldn't scare them. James Johnson and Melo starting at the forward spots makes sense, since Johnson can guard the best forward. Johnson+Capela pick n rolls could be extremely dangerous with the spacing of Paul, Harden, and Gordon (or Melo, if he recovers some shooting form). Waiters gives them insurance behind Gordon.

Lol please. We both know they’re going to Houston for Ryno.

But maybe a three way?
I agree. A threeway isn't happening... Houston wants James Johnson.

Our second unit could then be

McCollum/Wade
Curry
Trent
Anderson
Collins

Projecting again?

Nope. You're the one that constantly goes off topic and makes things personal.

My post mentioned neither Crabbe nor myself. You are the one who injected both into the conversation.

The move I wanna see is a trade centered around Turner and Batum.

You constantly talking about people on this board “whining” isn’t personal? Ok.

Not when I don't mention anyone by name. That's the definition of personal - directed at a specific person.

On the other hand, you seem to automatically assume I am talking about you. I wonder why that is...

Hey @BonesJones and @Boob-No-More
You guys understand all the cap stuff, none of these trades seem to make sense to me for Miami in terms of players traded, are they looking for cap relief with these deals?

Nope, just found the hypocrisy cute.

Well, that guy seems to think their worst mistakes were trading for Butler and signing Wiggins to that long big-ass contract. So, McCollum, Turner and Harkless for Butler, Wiggins and Dieng.
I think giving Wiggins that giant contract is pretty baffling. He’s so mediocre... They’re really banking on him getting a lot better.

Raptors still no Christmas Game even with Kawhi:D
I don't understand that at all. They have a New York vs. Milwaukee matchup when it should be Toronto and Milwaukee. Kawhi vs. Antetokounmpo. Porzingas might not even be back for NY.

It’s really not hard to figure out why they would want New York on national TV.

I get it, NY market. But they'll be terrible without Porzingas. With Toronto, you tap into all of Canada, plus more NBA fans will watch that. I would. I certainly won't be watching Milwaukee vs. New York.

I’ve heard Porzingis may not even be back this next season. For what it’s worth I agree with you, but they’re just trying to follow the ratings and what they think people will tune in for.

Bones answered this already. I'm sad you didn't ask me though, ha ha.
