I can't imagine that this is in the context of a James Harden trade. If it is, I hope Vulcan fires Olshey tomorrow.
What I would imagine is that Neil has a good gauge of how other GMs view all of our players because teams contact us with trade ideas and we contact teams with offers that they counter. Some of them probably include CJ... that's bound to happen. Neil's reality about CJ's value probably differs so far from that of other GMs that he has said something like he "staunchly rejected" the idea of trading CJ for what he's actually worth because Neil's idea of CJ's worth is so incredibly inflated but not to a completely baffling point.
If it was CJ and some young guys for Harden or CJ and Hoodie for Harden, I'm sure Neil would be like, "Finally someone gets it" and pull the trigger on that trade but the offers he probably gets for CJ are like expiring contracts Neil could buy out and a pick and Neil staunchly rejects those offers and at the same time reality.
