Well.... the depth feels like a bit of fools gold.

Hood is horrible.
Zach is out.
Melo is......... an anchor that drags us down.
Ant doesn't look like he's ready for minutes.
Nas is a bit of an unknown but I'd rather give him minutes than Melo.
Giles I like, but also not sure if he can contribute in bigger minutes.

Well i guess i see it differently. You have Hood as "Horrible". IMO that has not been the case at all. Rusty? Maybe. Slower? Probably. Does he need to find some rhythm, absolutely. He had a good game just three days ago. Look for more.
Simons has been getting better every game and his shot is falling. Minutes would force him to grow more. Plus he is working on defense which is important.
Melo dropped 6 points in his first minute last night against bench players. Had his defender on the bench in 5 minutes with 3 fouls. He has a place here and he is finding his way also. Though i agree his role would diminish if Collins were available.
Little will be the 12-13 spot on the bench with Giles right before Elleby and two way Blevins. If they lose 4-5 guys yes the Blazers are in trouble.

You underrate Melo. He’s helping us build leads in 2nd quarter. He’s also shooting the 3 at a high clip making life easier for the other players on the court with him.

Sometimes he helps on offense. Almost always, is he detrimental on defense.
