Dallas goes up 2-0 on the road closed. Wonder what their board is like?

They’re not happy lol

Hey, UKRAINEFAN, I learned today that Ukraine is the largest country in Europe - is that true?
Of course! And, For centuries, Ukraine has been known as “the breadbasket of Europe.” This title is entirely accurate, given that Ukraine is home to around a quarter of the world’s super-fertile “chernozem” or “black soil.”

it's a six game sample size. he was terrible, but let's put it in context
The real context to me, that any GM in the league can see is that he was playing with Dame and Dame was going off. It's been very obvious for a very long time that these two guards do not feed off of each other's success in any way and on the contrary one tends to go silent when the other goes off. We saw Dame have some of his lowest numbers in quite some time early this last season when CJ was going crazy. Obviously they also kill each other on defense because they're both poor defenders.

The league knows this shit. They've seen the things CJ does when Dame is out. They know that if they're getting him they're getting a guy that needs to be the lead guard. So in context CJ is valuable... not quite the value of an all star but definitely good enough to be the second scoring option on a contender whose first option is a dominant post and has dominant defense to put around him. Maybe saying he has sub all star value could be inaccurate as well... if a team needs a bucket getter and has a hole at the 1, CJ very well may have all star value to that team. I'm not saying that he would get a spot on the all star team, just that value has a lot to do with what you need to get you to whatever next level you are striving for.

Is that where "Chernobyl" gets its name?

Doncic has been the closest thing since Bird. Even the release of their shot look similar.

Both were slow, but have a quick first step.

I have to admit..I’ve become a Doncic fan. I will tune in to watch him play. The way he plays at his own strange pace and the fact that his passes are so fucking on point to shooters is insane..people say stuff like “so and so would have more assists if guys would just make open shots”..but in the NBA it’s also about where the pass is delivered..Luka and LeBron are the best we’ve seen since the 80s at that

he averaged 4.6 turnovers in the series. That's not horrible considering how much he controls the ball, but that's not good either. He also needs to drastically improve his FT shooting; it was putrid

The FT shooting thing is weird considering the degree of difficulty on a lot of his jumpers.

luka is 22 yo and people dont even realize that cause hes so amazing

how many nba players have done what luka is doing at the age of 22 lol

He's a rhythm shooter. His touch is actually rather poor relative to his percentages, if that makes sense. At the FT line, he's about as effective as I'd expect him to be as a catch-and-shoot player.

Is that where "Chernobyl" gets its name?
Sorry, I somehow missed this very important question. Here is your answer: Chernobyl is a Ukrainian word for mugwort, a common name for an herbaceous plant. There's an alternative etymology that Chernobyl was named after a combination of words chornyi and byllia, which literally mean "black grass" or "black stalks".

Americans have a hard time relating Chernobyl to anything other than Nuclear Meltdown.

Isn't it crazy that Mavs fans are KINDA in the same boat for us? Relevant team in the Western Conference, questions about their HC, and their inability to attract top free agents. I mean I just heard Cuban say that he isn't getting rid of Carlisle because.....

The question is: how long are you willing to wait until you know you got a chance at a better HC? Also, the GM would need to be looked at.

...wait a minute. Am I talking about the Mavs.......or Blazers? LOL.

At some point I need not to know this kind of shit because it'll just take away from my enjoyment.

But then again, as a collective, NBA players distribute their fat stacks to the poor folks more effectively than any other millionaires (especially if "poor folks" includes strippers).

Man, Harden gets his ring without even playing.. smh
