I'm sorry, but you don't call that a flagrant 2 on Jokic when elimination is on the line.
Why not? Was a dirty play and might have broken dude's nose.

Game and situation are irrelevant

If that was Lebron, technical on Payne for sticking his nose and a 25k fined

He was going for the ball. The contact with the nose was inadvertent. There is NO way you make that call. Intention is a huge part of flagrant fouls.

Yeah, I saw a replay. Wasn't going for the face, but he got his nose so

Ask yourself, if that was Dame was the one making that call in the 2nd round down 3-0, do people think Dame would have warranted an ejection?

No

First off all, the rulebook literally says intent is meaningless.

Second, you dont wind up like that if you want to make a bball play

My bad about intent. I just re-read the rule.

That being said, the dude is an eclipse. A windup coming from Patty Mills doesn't get that call.

What you're asking for from the refs is nuance. But they went by the letter of the law. Unnessary and excessive.

And dirty.

Denver wasnt winning this game either way.

I was really surprised they called a flagrant 2 on Jokic, but by rule, it fit every aspect of a flagrant...windup --> swing --> contact --> follow thru. I thought the officials were taking so long to make the ruling they were figuring out how to not call flagrant 1. But wow...ejection

Dame has committed flagrant fouls in the past. Is every player who slaps at the ball and makes inadvertent contact an idiot? Okay, then.
We're talking about Dame. Not CJ. Dame would not take out his frustrations against a scrub bench player 8 inches shorter than him just cuz he didnt get a call.

Also fyi. Dame has not committed a single flagrant foul in his career

By everyone's definitiion of what constitutes a Flagrant 2, Zach Collins and Hassan Whiteside should never have finished a game.

Really? I recall Dame two seasons ago wrapping a guy up on a dunk attempt and getting a Flagrant 1.

Don't change the debate because you're losing. If that call in that situation would have been made against Dame, you would be f***ing HOWLING.

Not sure I'm the one in the wrong. You're the one getting facts wrong.

So, if Dame committed that foul, you would agree he should be tossed in that game? You would be defending the refs? Mkay.

You're lying.

I've seen you post for years. You would be screaming.
