Kyrie and Love were certainly not trash together - no question they were only contenders because of James but that's still two perennial all stars in the East.

Blazers with 4. Yes 4 series victories in 20 years. How many has LeBron James got by himself? (Answer: zero - he always did it with a team.)

That's nice and all but LeBron led teams have won 39 playoff series. You could argue that the last 4 he was the second best player on the team but not the previous 35. He was definitely the best player during 35 playoff series wins. Only Derek Fisher (40) has more series victories as a player and Robert Horry has the same (39) as LeBron. LeBron only has two more than Kareem, four more than Duncan, six more than Kobe and Pippen, seven more than Magic and Shaq and nine more than MJ. No other active player has 20 series wins.

I don't think Kyrie and Love played without LeBron on the Cavs. They traded him after 2016-2017 and LeBron left after 2017-2018.

The Cavs during Kyrie's first few years without LeBron though:

2011-2012 - 21-45
2012-2013 - 24-58
2013-2014 - 33-49

When LeBron was first on the Cavs he only had one season under .500 and that was his rookie season. And who did he even have on that team? Mo Williams? He carried that garbage heap. Kyrie just isn't that good.

LeBron James is probably the greatest floor-raiser in NBA history. There are other contenders, but I think he has a good argument for the guy who, in the absence of any other talent, minimizes your losses the most. (In a related note, Draymond Green is a ceiling-raiser...I don't think he'd have a lot of value in preventing losses as the sole star on a team, but he combines with other stars to make a much better team.)

Like anyone else, James needs more talent around him to actually be part of a successful team. He's not a playoff team by himself--his first year in LA showed that.

But he only played 55 games the first year in LA...

Prichard made a wonderful coaching hire. The have gone backwards after firing Nate. In the East too.

Another great night for Moses Brown, 20pts and 11rebs on 6/10 shooting.

GTJ with a career high 31pts on 12/22 shooting.

Moses Brown better than Giles and Blevins combined.. how can we let this guy go? Thanks Neil

JJ Redick none too happy with the Pelicans front office. That might hurt their chances in the future. You just don't want the reputation that you cannot be trusted.

Drummond having problems in his Lakers debut. Has had to change shoes a couple of times, left the court. One of his toes appears to be injured.

Rodney Hood hurt his hip tonight and sounds like it's gonna have him out for a while.

Fuck they got one. Superstar. 20 & 10 on 54% per 36... As a third option. Nuggets have the perfect core to build around going into this off-season. Their management is damn good. And Nurkic was just a throwaway to them.

Are you guys really trying to make Stotts or Olshey look bad for getting rid of Moses Brown? Really?
Seriously this is almost a sickness with some of you now? We're talking Moses Brown. MOSES BROWN. Who plays big minutes for the Thunder. The OKC Thunder. Moses Brown SMH....

Moses Brown was just 1-5 and put up a dismal 4-10 from Free Throw 40% with 6 total points (4 from the FT line) was a -24 in a 21 point loss to the Mavs. Yes he got 9 rebounds in 30 minutes.

If a Blazer put up numbers like that you all would be crucifying Stotts and Olshey for not playing Giles who wouldn't do much better.

Absolutely Ridiculous.

No, YOU'RE confused. The point of every thread on every subject is to figure out a way to bash Stotts and/or Olshey!

There haven't been many pictures recently posted on the bodacious babes thread, do you know why? Fucking Stotts.

Brown was awful last year. We were trying to make playoffs. OKC is trying to tank. So which team gives Brown big minutes? A team trying to lose does.
I don't think he got that much better just with more minute; I think he got some good basic big man coaching.

Is he better than Harry Giles? Almost certainly. He's also younger and taller. Did we have an open roster spot so that we could've had BOTH if we wanted? Absolutely. Did we have a need for a warm body at C with Nurk and Collins out? 100% Are OKC actually WINNING with him, despite having one of the youngest starting lineups in recorded history? Yes.
