Kyrie and Love were certainly not trash together - no question they were only contenders because of James but that's still two perennial all stars in the East.

Blazers with 4. Yes 4 series victories in 20 years. How many has LeBron James got by himself? (Answer: zero - he always did it with a team.)

...which are largely 3 of the top 5 BECAUSE OF HIM.And he did it with 3 of the top 5 teams.
LeBron James is probably the greatest floor-raiser in NBA history. There are other contenders, but I think he has a good argument for the guy who, in the absence of any other talent, minimizes your losses the most. (In a related note, Draymond Green is a ceiling-raiser...I don't think he'd have a lot of value in preventing losses as the sole star on a team, but he combines with other stars to make a much better team.)
Like anyone else, James needs more talent around him to actually be part of a successful team. He's not a playoff team by himself--his first year in LA showed that.
That was my point for the most part....which are largely 3 of the top 5 BECAUSE OF HIM.
Another great night for Moses Brown, 20pts and 11rebs on 6/10 shooting.
GTJ with a career high 31pts on 12/22 shooting.
We're 29-18 and in contention for home court advantage! Moses wouldn't have got the time and opportunity needed here to blossom as he has in OKC.Moses Brown better than Giles and Blevins combined.. how can we let this guy go? Thanks Neil

0 assists, made 1 FT, Powell is so much betterGood for him. May have to rename him Jermaine O’Trent.
Brown was awful last year. We were trying to make playoffs. OKC is trying to tank. So which team gives Brown big minutes? A team trying to lose does.I'd say it's a lot more on Stotts than Olshey.
Which always leads you back to the guy who has kept Stotts around for 9 seasons and that's Olshey.I'd say it's a lot more on Stotts than Olshey.
No, YOU'RE confused. The point of every thread on every subject is to figure out a way to bash Stotts and/or Olshey! Are you guys really trying to make Stotts or Olshey look bad for getting rid of Moses Brown? Really?
Seriously this is almost a sickness with some of you now? We're talking Moses Brown. MOSES BROWN. Who plays big minutes for the Thunder. The OKC Thunder. Moses Brown SMH....
Moses Brown was just 1-5 and put up a dismal 4-10 from Free Throw 40% with 6 total points (4 from the FT line) was a -24 in a 21 point loss to the Mavs. Yes he got 9 rebounds in 30 minutes.
If a Blazer put up numbers like that you all would be crucifying Stotts and Olshey for not playing Giles who wouldn't do much better.
Absolutely Ridiculous.
And TNT complicit; they never replay the original play, which was not a foul. This is why people get frustrated with the NBA and the lack of lucidity in ref crews.
I don't think he got that much better just with more minute; I think he got some good basic big man coaching.Brown was awful last year. We were trying to make playoffs. OKC is trying to tank. So which team gives Brown big minutes? A team trying to lose does.
Is he better than Harry Giles? Almost certainly. He's also younger and taller. Did we have an open roster spot so that we could've had BOTH if we wanted? Absolutely. Did we have a need for a warm body at C with Nurk and Collins out? 100% Are OKC actually WINNING with him, despite having one of the youngest starting lineups in recorded history? Yes.Are you guys really trying to make Stotts or Olshey look bad for getting rid of Moses Brown? Really?
