They may play to win but I guarantee you they won’t play their stars those last couple games. Even when we had shot at #3 and out of GS’ bracket in 2019, we rested our guys on last night of season. We won but we rested Dame, CJ, Turner, Enes etc.
The Olshey who chose Stotts and has stuck by him through thick and thin - that Olshey?I'm saying this as an Olshey fan.
Well the Jazz and Nuggets always have a huge home court advantage because they train at that elevation, so they will definitely be fighting for it. Every day states loosen up their COVID guidelines so by the later rounds crowds could become a major factor. I even have to imagine that any team/player that can look up into the stands and see people cheering them on will get at least a little boost.
Edit: I would also imagine that the team that will have to face the Utah and Denver won't want to give them that advantage. I expect these teams to play it through the end.
Still can’t believe with Olshey wanting a versatile big man so bad he rated Zach freaking Collins over Bam Abedeyo. This blunder right here cost us a bunch of wasted time for Dame

Check out the 2013 draft, too. Olshey has hit massively on two lottery picks and missed on two others, and his highest pick was at #6.
How dare he miss on Giannis!!

I was there too. 37 points 9 assists. Maybe the most fun game of the regular season. Came back from 28 down.I was at that game with work tickets in the 5th row. Simons went off that night and I’ve been pulling for him since.
Considering CJ is better than the 9 players picked in front of him, I'd say yes. A massive hit. If this draft was redone, CJ would be the #2 pick in the draft. Neil got him at 10.Is CJ really a massive hit? He's a good player, don't get me wrong, but he was a top 10 draft pick. He's a one way, under sized, combo guard who has never been an All-Star, but is paid like one.![]()
CJ does not go before Giannis or Gobert. You always just have to push it a little past reality.Considering CJ is better than the 9 players picked in front of him, I'd say yes. A massive hit. If this draft was redone, CJ would be the #2 pick in the draft. Neil got him at 10.

I didn't think they were the best, I wanted someone with length and athleticism at that time so I was enamored with Nogueira, Gobert and Antetokounmpo. Also for that reason Nerlens Noel was my favorite prospect followed by Otto Porter, Oladipo and KCP. I would have taken any of those four guys before the guys that just looked like they were undeveloped athletes with freakish length... I think I had Bennett after KCP and thought he would be a poor mans Grandmama or less skilled Anthony Mason. There's a good chance CJ would be picked before Gobert. Rudy fits great with what Utah is doing, but traditional centers hold very little value nowadays. Look how little Drummond brought back despite good defense and historical rebounding numbers. You basically have to pay to move those guys, and no one is giving up anything to get them. I feel the same thinking would go into a hypothetical re-draft.
p.s. I don't for a minute believe you thought at the time that Giannis and Gobert were the two best prospects in the draft. That's gonna need supporting evidence to do any convincing.
I agree about Elleby. If Powell signs elsewhere, Elleby will be ready.

I think CJ could be a good point guard. He's got the handles. He's got size and defense. I like him as a 1.
We’re talking about CJ Elleby. We’re not dealing him.I think if we dealt him he would be the point guard of his new team.

Must be a non competent GM?
More than one non competent GM in the league.No. Olshey unfortunately works for the Blazers.
Hopefully he is gone soon.

Sure, a new GM may help alot? None of us know though who it might be?Dunno where the other ones are. We do have the worst one though, regardless.
