I'm happy for Meyers starting in the east and Coach Monty having early success but the Lakers can blow me...that's the only end they'll get near!
I think Meyers and his team (if they stay healthy) have a good chance of going to the finals this year.

Lmaooooo imagine if Davis leaves, the Lakers would be soooooooooooooooooooo fucked haha

Phoenix with a huge win tonight.

They are looking very good. They play super hard which could be sustainable, of course they won’t keep winning at this rate but could perhaps go over .500 by the end of season. Their offseason moves looked terrible at first glance but have actually started making sense now.

Damn, Lakers are playing well and I’m so jealous. Ugh!

Id trade being crappy for the last 6 years if we could get 16 championships...
That's changing the goalposts a bit though. Of course they're a great franchise but being jealous of a team beating the Bulls in November after that team sucked for the previous 6 years is a little odd.

Besides, this was the same guy who said he was done watching basketball this season and already declared the Clippers champions.

That's three separate PED related suspensions in just a few months. Wilson Chandler and DeAndre Ayton being the others.

What's going on?

The league is trying to show that they're cracking down on things...but only the younger players trying to make a name for themselves or washed up has-beens will get dinged.

Underachieving teams who might shake things up:

Outside of us, Orlando/Chicago/Indiana/Sacramento are just jumping out to me. Think UTA regresses to the mean soon enough.

Orlando is just playing like absolute garbage, and they have quite a clutter at the Forward/Big positions. Their offense as a whole could use a boost-- near the worst in the league in almost every offensive category. Gordon especially is in a massive slump. Wonder if they'd get antsy and make a move.

I heard a rumor (national sports talk show, I forget which one) that there is a huge HGH problem in all sports right now but particularly the NBA because their drug policies are so lenient. The drugs have gotten so good that they're basically undectable unless you mess up dosage or do something dumb like Ayton and take a diuretic because you freak out and worry you're going to get caught.

I have no idea if that's true but it makes sense for the NBA to crack down on it.

Doesn't surprise me. DRose a while back mentioned that PED use in the NBA usage is rampant and far more prevalent than people think.

Everyone's thinking Gordon-for-CJ, but much as CJ is underperforming, at least he's proven he can do SOMETHING in the league. What does Aaron Gordon do well besides jump?

If it turns out that Jokic is using them I shall seriously wonder what the "E" stands for.

Whoa, I agree with you about something! If you take away the dunk contest Aaron Gordon is not a good basketball player.

It's actually a good argument. He simply plays a position where we are severely lacking, and would be a good P&R threat with Dame. I actually think he fits in really well with Nurk as well. It's all hypothetical though. He's been the definition of average his whole career.
