Both Giles and Swanigan were Blazer picks.

I could see us taking a flier on Giles. He's shown some things in the games he's played. Some really nice passing ability at the 5 spot. His problem has been staying healthy.

So the Kings are waiving Giles and Jackson was already traded to Dallas as part of the Harrison Barnes trade. Safe to say we won the Collins trade. Now you could argue we should have taken Donovan Mitchell......

If you're declining a player on their rookie scale contract you're basically saying they aren't even worth a roster spot NOW. I don't know the last player who has had their rookie TO declined and ended up re-signing with the team, but it is probably super rare.

I would definitely take a shot at Giles next summer. Actually that’s a pretty predictable move; I think Portland liked him, just not as much as Zach.

I think the heat not using the big men as playmakers at the top of the key simplifies the game for him, he is at the corner 3.and goes for rebounds mostly,.simpler game plan.than Portland

Yeah, and I really do hope he does good there. He hasn't had a great start, but a bunch of our new guys haven't either. This whole league is going to be interesting a few months from now. (Except the L*kers. They flat out suck. Lol)

Leonard's best game by far to this point with Heat. 16 pts, 3 for 4 on threes. 8 rebounds and another two blocks after three in his last game! Those five blocks are like a half season's worth when with Blazers. He seems to be learning some new tricks.
