We know Dame is incredible on offense, but tonight, I saw him actually back down as he was being abused by Ty Lawson and Randy Foye.

We all believe in Dame. We all love Dame as a player, and are fortunate to have him. At some point, will Dame hear the challenge to actually get in a defensive stance, and shut down penetration for the opposing PG?

What's so funny? Dame was abused tonight on defense. Shaw went right at Dame, no matter who he was defending, even late in the game when Foye launched the stupid three. It was tough to watch.

Yes, because Dame doesn't have enough internal motivation after being frequently embarrassed on national TV that he needs the posters of S2 to challenge him.

Either

A.) He'll eventually get it and be a decent defender
B.) This is who he is and we have to be content with it (ala Steve Nash)

I'd say somewhere in between.

Because you would absolutely MURDER anyone who made something that even remotely questioned Aldridge, but Dame has a bad night and you post this? He's a second year player, he's had a few stinker games and some really really good ones this year. He needs to continue to work on his defense. Tonight he looked pretty dejected. It is what it is, but I just find it funny how you would slam someone constantly for posting stats about a hole in Aldridge's game, and yet you post this.

Lawson is beast going to the Rim. Not sure what you expect.

How about not 10 points 8 assists in the first half? Mo Williams played better defense on Lawson tonight, and Dame looked rattled to me late in the game.

Why make this about me? LMA went 44/13/5/2 tonight. Dame struggled, and was abused on defense. We watched the same game, right?

It's a basketball game. I'm not going to MURDER anyone.

Dear Dame,

I challenge you to do better.

El Presidente

Because you're a hypocrite. You have been hammering on Brian ever since he made that thread about Aldridge, and yet here you are making a thread calling out our other possible All-Star for a hole in his game. If you're going to start making threads like this, you need to lay off Brian.

PapaG is right. Lillard has had no spark for many games now. He misses crucial free throws. He takes hardly any crucial long shots, and misses those few. I've been thinking for a month that--maybe he's injured?

Mo is now Sparky the PG. Until whatever's wrong with Lillard ends.

I've rarely posted to Brian about his silly thread. He showed up in the game thread to comment on my posts. :dunno:

Let's talk about Batum's contract and his current production

Batum had 9 assists tonight, and leads the team in assists. He had to defend Lawson once it was obvious that Lillard couldn't contain Lawson. At that point, Randy Fucking Foye started abusing Lillard.

jlprk brings up a good point. Is Lillard injured?

We used to play the board game Risk to practice alliances, but now you watch the TV show Survivor.

So Dame has a couple of ho-hum games in a row and there's something wrong with him?

He's not the same Dame we saw before the road trip.

He had 24 against Houston.... 21 against San Antonio. He dropped 10 dimes against Dallas.

Not sure what you guys want from the kid.

It would be like Kobe Bryant and Terrell Owens forming an alliance.

I LOVE DAME on offense. His defensive liabilities were obvious tonight, though, and thankfully Batum could step up and defend Lawson in the second half.

Stick a fork in him. He's done.

Lillard knows that he needs to work on his defense. That was his focus this off season. He's improved some but he knows he still has a ways to go. This is just his second year in the league. The fact that his defense *has* improved from the work he put in this off season is encouragement that he'll get even better next year.

Lawson would expose A LOT of point guards. The guy is ridiculously fast. Batum gave him fits because he's long enough to counter his quickness. Foye was just hitting stupid shots. That isn't on Dame. He got hot and he made a few lucky threes. Nothing to worry about.

Let me know who we're allowed to post threads about in the future. Reggie Jackson ripped Dame a new asshole, and Stotts had to move Batum onto Lawson tonight, in what was a brilliant coaching move. Is it too much to ask Lillard to play at least a little bit of defense?

If Lawson abused every PG, he'd be league MVP and an auto All-Star. Why did Stotts move Batum to defend Lawson? Was it because he got sick of watching Lawson make lucky drives right to the rim?

Foye and Lawson went 8-21 that is 38% that is a pretty damn good percentage. Batum also shot 1-5 from the field tonight and is averaging under 10 points a game in January.

Face facts we do not have a Lebron on this team all of our players have a weakness but that is what the team is for to cover up for each other.
