Seriously? You're choosing Manfred Mann over Bruce Springsteen?

As an aside, did anyone else hear the Mann version and think he sang "...wrapped up like a douche..."?

Where can I find a McCain forum to watch people freak out with complete defeat and fury?

Are there really many McCain supporters? My vote wasn't for McCain, it was against one-party rule.

Did you vote for Gore and Kerry, in order to vote against one-party rule?

Absolutely, that's the way I always heard it too.

I voted for Gore and didn't feel that either candidate deserved my vote in 2004, so I didn't vote for the Presidency (although I did cast a vote).

Fair enough, thanks. But (and I'm not trying to pester you, I'm curious as to your reasoning), didn't you also feel neither of the candidates was worth your vote this time, too? What prompted you to cast your vote against one-party rule this year, but not 2004?

I felt the lurch leftward would be more dramatic this time than the move rightward to where we were in 2004. When the party in power is supposedly the party that wishes to limit government, frankly they're not as dangerous as the party for whom government is always the answer. The real problem with this group of Republicans is that they didn't believe in limited government, even though they ran on that platform.

Eric, you're the guy in show business. I figured you would know better than any of us.:ghoti:

I have no frickin idea. Is Anderson really seeing Will I Am or is this some sort of virtual green screen? I have no idea how they do it.

We do holograms in "Bones" but we're just looking at nothing and then the computer graphic guys put it in.

Man, talk about disillusionment. Next thing you'll be telling me is that Scotty didn't really beam up Captain Kirk either. ;)

Palin did him in. She isn't qualified to be President. Economy dive didn't hurt either.

Exit polls tell a different story regarding Palin. She may not be your cup of tea, but the numbers say she helped.

I suppose it depends on which exit polls you look at. Something like 15% of voters switched from McCain to Obama, and Palin was cited as the #1 reason for switching.

I think Palin was disastrous for him. Gave him an immediate bump, but that disapated in a few weeks and, ever since then, she's been a liability.
